"Some of the examples, such as the MLP one, even go so far as to use the page as an excuse to gush about the works in question."
Why am I not surprised...
Anyway yeah I agree. This page has a lot of zero-context examples and natter.

I thought Multiple Demographic Appeal is about creators intending the work to be meant for more than one target audience instead of unintentional audience.
I agree. That would make it an actual trope.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdMostly I think its evidence of pandering to both crowds instead of outright needing Word of God.
- A Benny Hill joke in MLP,
- A male Hotblooded at all things cute Pretty Cure Doujin artist (clean) side character in Heartcatch Pretty Cure etc.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Maybe this would work as a index for tropes like Parental Bonus, Parent Service, and Getting Crap Past the Radar.
The trope isn't the problem. It's the examples. Instead of saying what the Multiple Demographic Appeal is, they're just saying "this work has a Periphery Demographic."
A list of subtropes would be a good addition to the page, though.

This page desperately needs to be cleaned. I just read some of the examples on the page, most of them aren't even pointing out any tactics used for bringing in a Periphery Demographic, they're just saying it has one. Some of the examples, such as the MLP one, even go so far as to use the page as an excuse to gush about the works in question.
