Wow, well, don't mean to double post but the usual group has put out a low quality release of chapter 39.

Honestly, at this point I feel like they should just get a Korean translator and translate the Korean release, since the Korean teams clearly don't have any trouble getting it out in a timely manner.

It works on several levels and is depressing on all of them.

Specifically, monster girl marriage is in the pipeline in-universe, since Kimihito's the test case; since it's set in contemporary times, gay marriage is still illegal there. Also, monster girl marriage (AKA the end of Mon Musu) may well take place before gay marriage is legalized in real life in Japan.

Gay monster girl marriage would probably make conservatives' heads explode.

Gay marriage is already legal in some places in Japan though.

And remember, once some places start legalizing it, others will as well.

It might be something like Mero's ribbon,but the colour's a bit unfortunate.

She probably keeps her fins tucked against her stomach to keep the lines of her dress smooth.

And yeah, that's not exposed skin, that's a band of elastic or something, I'd say. Probably no different from the rest of the material of her dress, but yes, the color is kind of similar to her skin color.

…Zombie girls being fujoshi… That was so stupid I couldn't help but laugh.

Other than that… Kimihito doesn't seem to mind much seeing a girls severed muscles and bones…

My assumption is just that it's exactly as we see it - neat box-shaped body parts. =)

Regarding the Korean translation, after the last time someone tried, I would think most readers would be somewhat wary.

The usual group is trying out a new translator for 40, so there's hope for some improvement in speed for the next couple of years.

Apparently the gym chapter will be animated after all!

According to the news it will be an OAD (Original Animation DVD) that will be bundled with the manga's 11th volume. Official site gives two dates but since I can't read Japanese I don't know what that does mean.

Interestingly some preview images show stuff that wasn't present in the manga chapter such as Papi in a school swimsuit and Manako in a tennis outfit, so hopefully it will include every character who appeared up to that point (so still no Lala probably). Can't wait for it to be released ...and also for the endless debates for and against Polt Well she has already a voice actress so we'll finally hear what she sounds like, if anything.

Heh, I wonder if they'll actually dare to have the camera pan over Centorea's not-groin area during that scene where the others question why her swimming outfit covers it up despite there not being anything to hide (reason for those who forgot: it still looks really awkward/indecent from others' perspectives, so she just preempts the problem anyway and save herself the trouble).

They've probably expanded it so it's full episode length despite only being one chapter and thus half as much material as would normally go in one.

First date is pre-order, second is release, according to the guy who may be taking over translation duties.

I really should watch the anime.
