Well, that's not surprising. It's no different from when she assumes the guise of a soemwhat modestly clothed schoolgirl, to be frank. Why should she bother with clothes when she can just morph parts of her body to serve as such? Come to think of it, isn't this the common theory for why she's embarrassed about wearing the gifted outfit? That it feels too weird to actually wear so much clothing for a being who habitually walks around 100% nude 24/7?

It's not the fan-theory, that was basically said in that scene.

But yes. Actually wearing clothes is embarrassing for Doppel.

She probably wouldn't be so embarrassed if it were skimpy clothes like a bikini, though. Like I said, that's understandably way too much clothing for someone who spends most if not all of their time not wearing any.

It's also possible that she just doesn't like not being able to transform. She's considerate enough that she probably wouldn't want to rip apart clothing that was bought for her as a gift, so she's more or less stuck in one form while she's wearing that.

It's been fun.

I do think part of her dislike stems from not being able to transform, but I don't know if that specifically is what makes it embarrassing. Inconvenient or uncomfortable maybe. A lot of it is probably just the fact that she knew she'd get reactions from her teammates over it.

So in the OAD, there was another Monster Collection card, which foused on were-creatures. No translations for descriptions yet, but they include werewolf, werecat, werefox and wererabbit.

It does seem to be kinda fuzzy in this series but I think weres are supposed to tend towards the more feral-looking end of the spectrum.

'Cos, like, we've seen actual cat and bunny girls early on as an example of what most people think of as "monster girls" rather than actual mythological stuff like Miia and Centorea.

I wish that image was just a bit bigger. I don't want to give myself eyestrain translating that for you guys.

Maybe I can track down the OVA somewhere.

Honestly, it seems like the quality just isn't super good even in 720p streams. I'll take a stab anyway, though. Keep in mind that some of this is going to be conjecture based on blurry kanji.

Werewolves Most commonly referred to around the world as wolfmen, there are of course female werewolves as well, so they are also often known as wolf people. While the image of the 'lone wolf' is popular, they actually prefer communal living in the form of packs. While most monster species are affected by the full moon, werewolves can prove even more trouble due to their pack social structure and their great physical strength.

Werecats Sometimes treated as gods in certain areas, werecats are flighty and pleasure-seeking, and can be hard to get along with as a result. However, they are strongly susceptible to matatabi [a type of herb that produces a catnip-like response in cats] and, if exposed to it, will become docile and extremely affectionate. Many things, including matatabi, may also produce a Flehmen response in werecats.

Werefoxes A demihuman species also known in Japan as youko (demon fox). For some reason, many of them take up positions as miko shrine maidens. Some members of this subspecies possess nine tails and are called kyuubi; these individuals possess rudimentary transformation powers.

Wererabbits A beast-type demihuman subspecies with many features common to rabbits. Rabbits are commonly thought to be in heat all year long, and wererabbits are often asked if this is the case with them as well, to their displeasure. In fact, even among true rabbits this is only the case for the European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), so it is not accurate for wererabbits. ...that said, their sex drive is very close to that of the European rabbit.

It's been fun.

Also, watching the OVA... either it's been a long time since I've read the chapter about Polt's gym, or they added in some new (rather filthy) jokes.

It's been fun.

It's mostly involving characters who just weren't there in the manga version.

It was a good episode... aside the part where Polt was licking Manako's eyeball. That is not fine. That is not fine at all.

Good lord, it's almost not worth it digging through the usual river of garbage people posting garbage for such low-quality pictures. This is why I never ended up getting involved in Echoes of Monster Musume Online.

Got around to watching the OVA. Pretty good stuff. I liked the additional jokes. The eyeball licking was weird as hell though. Rachnera doing a bondage tie on Suu's bucket was probably my favorite gag.

Is anyone dissatisfied with this latest chapter?

The idea of a convention by and for interspecies people could be really interesting and cool for world-building if handled well, but all I've seen is lame humor, rehashed gags and the "haha Draco is a stupid dyke" stuff that is starting to get old at this point. Plus I hoped to see way more new species or at least the return of familiar faces, instead we got no Lala, no Rachnera, no bicycle cop and the discover that all kobolds look alike. I know Okayado isn't feeling well, but it seemed pretty lazy overall.

In other news, I pre-ordered the OAD but it's certainly taking its sweet time to arrive... sad

"Effective Altruism" is just another bunch of horsesh*t.

Yeah it's a disappointing chapter if you're into the world building.
