"I don't think that matters. Whether the girls involved are genuinely trying to kill each other or just having fun, they're still engaging in physical competition, and the audience is expected to be titillated and to not take it seriously."
You have a point, but that's an argument for merging the tropes. Unless we do merge the tropes, we have to assign them names that distinguish them from each other.
The top two options have about the same number of supports to opposes.
I'd make a runoff crowner, but I'm still confused as to how they work. I've only seen "one option, vote up for this, vote down for that", but word of mod says it has to be two separate options and limited to that.

If I understand correctly, it's because runoff crowners are there to select a single winner between two (or more in some cases) items when those two options have similar ratios or are the only ones in green. Having a single option other than two will defeat the purpose of having a runoff crowner in the first place. I have never seen a runoff crowner with only one option.

Macron's notesOn a check of five open runoff crowners, two of them are made this way. I also remember one for Chaste Teens made that way. The two options runoff crowner was also in Completed Fic.
I prefer the one option runoff because it forces voters to choose one option. Leaving the two items would probably cause the options to level off again, as it's essentially the same crowner but with the less popular options cut off.
I have always seen them as one option.
That said, here there are three options in the green, which is worth considering.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSexy Pillow Fight's pretty even though.
It seems page action and single proposition (which needs only one option obviously) crowner runoffs usually have a single option. Most alternate title and image pickin’ runoff crowners I know have more than one option (and they’re usually the ones that get runoff crowners) ... Well, at any rate here’s the runoff crowner. All options in green have been added.

Macron's notesThat's an interesting observation.
Runoff crowner's hooked; I'll edit the thread title to reflect the change.
Bump for votes.
Fanservice Faux Fight has 9 supports and 3 opposes, a score of 6.
The votes on this one have held steady long enough that I think we can call it for Fanservice Faux Fight.
Do we just move the page over or write up a new description?
Hmm ... the course of action was to create the previously mentioned YKTTW, then to rename the current page, yes?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSo we do those at the same time.
I understand that now, but does not answer my question over whether this needs a new description or YKTTW.

Given that it's a Trope Transplant, yes it needs a new description - either by YKTTW or by sandbox.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSince Fanservice Faux Fight was the winning option, I renamed the YKTTW to that (it was previously "Eye Candy Fight"). So, what do we do now? The YKTTW is over a year old, there aren't many examples, and the draft only has one hat. Should we still wait for it more or just launch what we have?
Macron's notesFanservice Faux Fight has been launched. After I crosswick it, I'll go ahead and turn Pillow Fight into a disambiguation.

Macron's notesPillow Fight should be a disambiguation page between Fanservice Faux Fight and Childish Pillow Fight.
Are there any examples left on the page that don't fit either of those two?
edited 14th Jan '14 12:42:00 PM by Willbyr
That's what I meant! Fixed.
The example that don't fit either are mostly zero-context examples, violate Web Links Are Not Examples, or don't have enough context to tell where they would go in.
On that note I turned Pillow Fight into a disambiguation. I don't really have time to work on the wicks right now since I have go to bed now and get ready for school tomorrow.

Macron's notesAlright, all of Pillow Fight's wicks have been cleaned up (save for two ghost wicks). So, I'm hollering for a lock.
Macron's notes
Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
Yeah, run it off.
