She does seem like she'd be much more dependable.
ophelia, you're breaking my heartI thought I would hate this, but I'm enjoying it a lot more than Sherlock.
It's not over. Not yet.I admit that elementary is not the best detective show on TV (that being psych) but it's well worth watching.
hashtagsarestupidSo an ACD canon character has been announced as casted.

I can't have you close, so I become a ghost and I watch you, I watch you.Oo Oh this should be fun.
I am still waiting for Moriarty, though.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."I hope it's a Baskerville.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatI thought The Woman was dead.
Hmm. Seems it must be in flashback, as
Wait, Moriaty was never a consulting criminal [except in BBC's Sherlock].
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Great now BBC has grounds to sue them
hashtagsarestupidElementary has yet to define with kind of criminal is Moriarty, heck, we still don't know if he is a he (though it probably will be).
I can't have you close, so I become a ghost and I watch you, I watch you.Edit: On second thought, I may be wrong. But it was the impression I got.

It's not over. Not yet.He wasn't given the title "consulting criminal", but from the text:
That's the thing: I did read The Final Problem, and I never got the impression Moriarty was a consulting criminal, his description [as quoted above] is pretty much a textbook one of a Diabolical Mastermind ["Like a spider at the center of his web.."]
In other words, he works for no one but himself. The idea of him being a consulting criminal is fairly creative, but he was never one in the original story.
In any case, he doesn't seem to be a consulting criminal in Elementary, either way.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I hope that was one of Moriarty's agents on the phone, because that didn't sound like Hugh Laurie or Benedict Cumberbatch at all.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I thought they made it clear in Valley of Fear that Moriarty's job was to "arrange" these crimes, but it's been a couple years since I read it.
Anyway, fuck making Irene Adler his love interest YET AGAIN!
EDIT: Text from VALL
"the organizer of every deviltry, the controlling brain of the underworld, a brain which might have made or marred the destiny of nations — that's the man!"
Take it any way you want, I guess.

The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.Again, that's a fairly standard Diabolical Mastermind description [no surprise since Moriarty basically created that Trope alongside Fu manchu], a man who runs of the criminal world.
On the episode I really like Moriarty's ridicuously complex thugs and plots, the guy murdering a man with a well-timed air conditioner was just beautiful. Moriarty at its finest [in fact, if I well recall, an agent of Moriarty tries to kill Holmes in a similar way in The Final Problem]
I don't like how they wasted Moran though, he was one of the characters I liked the most. The scene where he murders one of the guards randomly then shouts "It's too late boys!" with a murderous glee is pretty awesome. Ultimately, I felt sorry for him, killing himself for his sister ["..Bring back the Arsenal to me.."].
If this very site is to believed, that's an actor called Adam Godley, who seems to be a fairly good match for the Professor. Not as good as Jared "The Best Moriarty there will ever be" Harris, but good.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I suppose that was one way to handle the Foe Yay.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I liked it actually. It was a very good twist, not something I've seen done before, and a great nod to Adler's original characterization. She was - and is so here- a criminal clever enough to outwit Sherlock. I adore Laura Pulver's Irene, but this one's characterization is just incredible IMO.
I'm guessing she'll break out of prison and resume her position as arch nemesis. I look forward to it.
"If I reach for the stars, you can't hold me back"This comment is hilarious now. Really.
...umm? Is that meant as an insult or compliment?
"If I reach for the stars, you can't hold me back"Neither. It's just that you can't judge something before you've seen the end of it.
But I did see it. Or are you referring to the guy above me? Maybe we're in different time zones?
"If I reach for the stars, you can't hold me back"Just watched my recorded Heroine now.
I actually kinda considered the "Irene is actually a bad guy" thing at the end of the last episode since it seemed too convenient for Sherlock just get his girl back and shake the status quo drastically, but I thought the present-day Irene was a body double or something rather than the one from Sherlock's past, especially given the difference in her birthmarks. Wasn't expecting her to be Moriarty.
So, what's next for our blunt British beekeeping bloodhound?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Irene is Moriarty = BEST. TWIST. EVER. Seriously, who could've seen that coming!?
I wonder if Gregson and Bell were actually alright with having Watson help out with the deducing. She has already proven to the both of them that she could help solve the case and they basically view her as an extension of Sherlock, or as Rhys called her, "Sherlock's better half." Secretly they may be hoping that Watson DOES get better in her deducing in case Sherlock loses it again and they may be able to use Watson's services.
