He basically IS the vat of mutagen at this point.

Just watched the episode where Kirby is brought back thanks to Retro-Mutagen. One question, ...why was it not on Donnie's mind to give some to Pulverizer? It's very boggling that the writers missed that spot, or were they really just that irritated with putting him in, that freezing him was a cheap way to write the character out?

1. Out of all the mutants that need to be cured, which would be everyone except the turtles, Splinter, and arguably Spike, Pulverizer's pretty much the lowest priority. Everyone else was either mutated against their will, or became a threat. Pulverizer only became a threat due to Donnie "pouring his thoughts and feeling into a jar of goo", after that he was frozen and no longer a threat, plus, being frozen, it'd be hard to administer the retro mutagen.

2. No, the writers didn't forget about him, he's seen frozen in the background in some of the scenes that occur in Donnie's lab.

As for the last few remaining episodes,

  • A Chinatown Ghost Story
As Donnie grows increasingly jealous of April and Casey, April gets kidnapped by a Chinese ghost.

  • Into Dimension X
Mikey accidentally enters and gets lost in Dimension X. When the others try to rescue him, he seems to get possessed by a Kraang.

  • The Invasion Parts 1 and 2

Truth be told, after hearing about what the next few episodes are gonna be about, my mind is just going into overload. There is just so much that could happen in those stories, particularly the next one, the one that's airing this Friday. That's a recurring problem for this show for me, it gives me too much to think about and not in a good way.

I don't think that's necessarily a flaw in the show, man.

Though Jealous!Donnie isn't exactly my favorite plot, either.

Did anyone see the A Chinatown Ghost Story episode when it was still on Nick.com?

[up] Was it? I wouldn't have expected it to go online before it airs tomorrow.

Sounded like a return of Daolon Wong to me.

Good episode, though I could've done with less of the Donnie vs Casey stuff at the beginning, and that very awkward Freudian Slip

One thing that's starting to wear on me about the whole Casey/Donnie thing is that they always start off antagonistic, then at the end gain a new appreciation for the other... only to hate each other again by the next episode.

I liked the villain, though. He was cool.

Ditto.

It's like +/- character development. It cancels itself out and the net progress is zilch. Starting to get annoying.

This show has been pretty good with making character development stick.

Here's hoping the Donnie/Casey crap comes to end by the season finale.

Into Dimension X Mikey accidentally enters and gets lost in Dimension X. When the others try to rescue him, he seems to get possessed by a Kraang.

Okay, I was wrong. It was the Kraang skull on Mikey's head that misled me. Still a decent episode though.

And Leatherhead's back. About time.

[down] Thanks, I was wondering why it wasn't working.

Well, i finally watched the episode, and as a whole, it wasn't bad. The problem came from my mind trying to turn certain aspects of the episode and aspects of previous episodes against me. But other than that, not a bad episode, kudos to the writers for not forgetting about the Karai thing by the way

So, apparently Mondo's coming back. And looking even more 1990 than he used to. And so's Muckman, and Joe Eyeball. Man, those old Turtles characters were really gross.

And yet I'm still bitter about no Screwloose; I'm fine with them making Wingnut a mutant and barely sentient, but at least give him his talking mosquito buddy.

[up]Late 80s and early 90s did seem to be the gross-out era of American cartoons and toys.

[up]Yeah, but some of those Ninja Turtles toys, man.... I don't know if Matt's story about Mutagen Man getting lots of complaints back in the day are true or not, but I wouldn't blame them if it was true. And looking at the new show, it seems the designers took those old gross designs as a dare.
