William Jean Paul Sabatier (May 22, 1923 - March 17, 2019) was a French actor and voice actor.
A stage veteran with a fourty years career under his belt in this field (1948-1988), bit characters on film and a number of TV appearances between 1958 and 1984 (including the role of Charles, Duke of Burgundy in the 1971 Quentin Durward miniseries, Gournay-Martin in Arsène Lupin and Henry, 3rd Earl of Lancaster in 1972's The Accursed Kings), he was most well known as a voice actor, particularly for authority figures from Da Chief all the way to the Four-Star Badass.
He frequently dubbed Richard Harris (shared with Marc Cassot), Marlon Brando, Fred Dalton Thompson, Rod Steiger, Karl Malden, Charles Durning and Gene Hackman. He also dubbed John Wayne three times (in They Were Expendable, The Wings of Eagles and How the West Was Won).
