According to Wikipedia - a dubious source, I know - the final four episodes of the season start the second week of September.

At the comic con panel, they said they were taking a break to give the movie some space and the last two episodes of the season will air in September.
The whole panel is on youtube if you look for it.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Currently going through the first season...I like it...except Splinter as a Composite Character with Yoshi was just stupid. And I'm not a fan of some of the human designs (April looks great),they have the same uncanniness to them that Transformers Prime had.
Also Donatello and Raphael sound too damn weird compared to their 2k3 counterparts.
That's as much a thing now as Splinter being Yoshi's rat. It's more well-known, even, thanks to the original cartoon.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatAnd like people forgetting that Lust used to be absolutely tragic, and her death was kinda gut-wrenching,not some kind of awesome triumph....that's very unfortunate.
Currently watching "Enemy of My Enemy", gotta admit I'm liking Karai and wouldn't mind Crack Shipping her with Leo or Raph
True, but that doesn't make up for the negation of Master!Yoshi's Dying Moment of Awesome

No comment on whether Yoshi!Splinter is better or worse than Ordinary Rat!Splinter, but on the plus side, it makes for really good scenes when the Rat King is gunning for him. =D
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Frankly, I prefer Hamato!Splinter to Pet!Splinter. I like the extra characterization it gives him as a former human turned outcast vs pet rat turned mutant rat. The part about Hamato Yoshi getting some kind of Dying Moment of Awesome just doesn't do anything for me, honestly, especially given the trade off of the additional backstory allowed for Hamato!Splinter.

As someone who doesn't have any experience with Splinter as Yoshi's pet rat, I really like him being a former human. His character arc of coming to accept his lost humanity is pretty great.
Also, the Karai arc. As predictable as it may have been, I still really liked it.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!I never saw Hamato Yoshi's death as some kind of awesome moment. I always saw it as him basically getting his ass handed to him by a much younger opponent (Much younger, Saki was 12 when he killed Yoshi)
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatI prefer Splinter and Yoshi being separate due to ridiculous factor
I mean, original version is this: Yoshi kills Nagi over Tang Shen, Saki kills both Yoshi and Tang Shen, Splinter trains four turtles to kill Shredder... There is really elaborate cycle of revenge going on there
I think both have their advantages and both can work depending on how well its executed.
One Strip! One Strip!i like idw where splinter is a rat who is the reincarnation of fuedal japan hamato yoshi. and the turtles are reincarnations of his 4 sons.
You're watching a show about a group of mutated turtles who happen to likewise be ninjitsu experts and that's too ridiculous for you?
Personally, having experienced both, I prefer the transformation route. It seems more reasonable for him to possess the wisdom he has and it adds more depth to him with the whole adaption to his circumstances. It creates more depth than a rodent who mimicked his master's movements does.
Also, funny the whole cycle of revenge should be mentioned since that IS why they were trained in the original. More Shredder killed Yoshi, they're tykebombs for some vengeance.
Improving as an author, one video at a time. For some reason that makes me think of the Usagi Yojimbo arc where the Turtles guest-starred. They were called to Usagi's world by a sage to help Usagi and Gen prevent a civil war in the Neko clan. Naturally, the sage was a rat, and Raph thought it was a Foot trap at first until Leo pointed out that Miyamoto Usagi was a friend.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatNow watching "The Manhattan Project"...I don't like Tiger Claw...and they didn't reference the good version. The worm would've looked even cooler in that version.
That said,it was more of a Missed Moment of Awesome than anything else.
Personally, I like having the Splinter is Hamato Yoshi for the character depth and exploration reasons given above. However, I don't have a problem with the interpretations where he's not either, but that's mostly because I'm biased—Splinter has always been my favorite character in the franchise.
I thought Spooky said he likes the separate characters because of the ridiculous factor, not that it was too ridiculous.
Yeah, that avatar's a 'Shop of my real face.^You are right about what I said <_< Seriously people, reading comprehension! Not that hard!
Second thing that makes me shake my head is that Primes speak about cycle of revenge thing as if I wasn't referring to Splinter growing Tyke Bombs....
Hamato Yoshi and Splinter being the same character in this never bothered me. In fact, it actually makes sense.
Hamato, by himself, is just another guy that gets killed and happens to be related to Splinter. I don't think we knew much about the guy in the comics or 2K3. Here it feels more developed.
^Thats the thing that makes original cycle of revenge so beautifully ridiculous, turtles have NO real connection with whole sequence of events at all.
I mean, seriously, it starts of in normal cycle of revenge way, then it degenerates to mutant pet raising mutants to assassinate the final "normal" killer of the cycle that would have otherwise ended since other side was wiped out Its like if Luke killed Darth Vader before knowing he was his father, then Leia killed Luke because for some reason she cares about Luke killing her father, then Han killed Leia, then Han is killed for killing the princess, then Chewbacca kills everyone for lynching Han, then Chewbacca is killed for that and then R 2 D 2 kills Chewie's killers, then R 2 D 2 is killed, but Millenium Falcon becomes sentient and continues the cycle
Can that be the plot of Star Wars 7? It would be hilarious.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Just watched the episode where Kirby is brought back thanks to Retro-Mutagen.
One question,...why was it not on Donnie's mind to give some to Pulverizer? I know he wasn't exactly the most charming or intelligent guy,but c'mon Splinter seemed far less effected by his mutation than Pulverizer.
He (Splinter) even points out still having humanity left, which Mutagen Man/Pulverizer seems to be practically out of.
It's very boggling that the writers missed that spot,or were they really just that irritated with putting him in,that freezing him was a cheap way to write the character out?
Would the retro-mutagen even work on him?
I miss Timothy. :(
He was a stupid dork, but I liked him.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton! That might have just been in the 80's toy line, but doesn't he need that vat of mutagen to survive?
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great
Wasn't the season finale a few weeks ago?
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.
