He's got tunnel vision. Everything bad that happens is Splinter's fault and nothing Shredder does can possibly lead to anything other than Shredder being hailed as the greatest thing since sliced bread. Which he sliced himself with his arm sword things. Because it looked like Spinter.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! This idea that I just have to get out about Splinter is the idea that he's not actually Hamato Yoshi. In fact, the real Hamato Yoshi has been dead for years, and Splinter's just his pet rat, who saw Saki murder him. He's just been so traumatized by seeing his family destroyed by the Shredder and then grown to human size in short order that the only way he can cope is by convincing himself he IS Yoshi.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatActually, since Stockman screwed up the snake formula for the mutagen...maybe Donnie's Anti-Mutagen won't work for her?
"You can reply to this Message!"Then Donnie will make new Retro-mutagen. Better retro-mutagen. Both Splinter and Karai deserve a lot better than to have Karai stuck in some feral mutant state for the rest of her life.
@1278: Kinda sorta jossed in the latest episode. Unless rats suddenly live thirty odd years, he's got memories of himself and Shredder as kids.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Judging by the way Karai transformed back to human there at the end it looks like they're going to treat her "condition" as though she has Lycanthropy.

Anyone thinks Karai is going to get her own mutant posse?
Well, Tokka's been MIA so far, for one.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatSo, anyone else wondering if Baxter's little slip up there is the reason Karai can apparently change form? Or what else that might affect?
Was also a bit surprised by Shredder's reaction to Karai getting mutated, moreso than to her mutation in general. I think it really shows his sociopathy as being almost tragic, though not sympathetic. He's so utterly blinded by his hatred he doesn't even recognize how he's the one destroying everything and everyone he loves. Previous Shredder's were bad, but they all understood perfectly what they were doing. This one might actually be insane.
@Max: Shredder says to Tiger Claw that hes not going to mutate Karai and says afterwards he will avenge Karai. There is no reason for him to lie to camera :P Apparently this Shredder is just so entitled that he probably said "I will avenge Tang Shen" when he accidentally killed her.
It was definitely Stockboy's fault.
This show is getting surprising DEEP now, from what I'm reading.
I'm still behind a few episodes, but I don't mind spoilers.
I'm thrilled to bits that we've got a female mutant, and that its design is to terrifyingly bad-ass. I must be the only one mildly disappointed that she can change back and forth; it's kind of a cop-out, in a way. She's definitely not completely "feral" though like people are saying. She showed some sapience there, she's just really upset, maybe a little crazy now. Mostly angry.
bogleech.com for my writing, comics and cartoons. You know I'm reminded of a Ninja Turtles toy I had as a kid that had a pair of snakes for one arm. Ah, here he is. As for Karai's next few appearences... I'm predicting a lot of "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fights.
I haven't really been following the movie because of the evident bad press, so fill me in. We thought William Fichtner was going to be The Shredder, but based on the trailer, it's possible that Oroku Saki will still be The Shredder in the movie?
I think Sachs is the head of the American head of the Foot, but the tall guy, I don't know if he's Saki or not.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatWell, it wouldn't surprise me if the guy in this picture◊ does turn out to be Saki. His face looks all burnt up and borderline messed up. Isn't the most recent Shredder's face like that?
EDIT: Ok, so I've been Wikipediaing the movie. Turns out the director also directed Battle: Los Angeles and two of the screenwriters did the screenplay for Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol! Why were people hating on this again? Mainly because of Bay and Megan Fox or what?

Because Unpleasable Fanbase is redundant.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I think one part Michael Bay, combined with one part bad PR where people picked up on every single piece of news and rumor that suggested the movie would be terrible and then ran with it till their legs gave out.
So…with all that said, is anyone planning to bite the bullet and give this movie a chance or what?
Yes. Yes I am.
Provided, of course, that it doesn't come back with reviews which say - behind whether it's actually good or not - that it is in fact as much a mess as everyone was afraid it was, apart from complaining about "It's a Michael Bay film (even if he didn't actually direct it)".

It couldn't be any 'worse' than the Fantastic Four reboot. At least from what I've heard about it.
On-Topic: Is there word on the last 4 episodes for this season?

I don't like what I've seen of Shredder, but otherwise it looks passable. Can't be worse than the 80s cartoon. Definitely going to see it.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I actually won't be spending money to see this. Yeah, Bay's not directing it but the guy who is is apparently a big fan of Bay (which I don't think bodes well). Furthermore, he's producer. I refuse to believe he didn't have some serious creative input into the flick. I don't like what I've seen of the new Shredder or Splinter (he seems just WAAAAAAY too small) and It just doesn't look worth my money. I work in a library and we'll get it eventually. If it turns out not to be just another transformers movie I'll use my first rights perks and check it out before anyone else in the library gets to.
I'm still trying to figure out why Shredder was so damn stupid, like what did he think was going to happen.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.
