Disambig sounds like a good solution. We should do that more often.

Disambig is usually used for works that share really close names and/or nicknames like Avatar The Last Airbender had the redirect monopoly of the main Avatar page before the 2009 Avatar film came out. There isn't so many of the "same term/different definitions" disambig pages because usually there was a mistake made in naming a trope after a term that doesn't mean the trope definition (Epic Fail once being the name for Missed Moment of Awesome).

We'll use it if there's several things the term could point to.

In this case, we do not have several different pages that this could refer to, especially since it has been now made quite clear that creating something like Cum Shot will not be acceptable.

I renew my original suggestion to rename this to the alternate term used in the industry for this, namely Money-Making Shot, and delete the Money Shot page (rather than keep it as a redirect) on the grounds that it is prone to misuse for something that we no longer wish to cover on this wiki.

I'm adding a page action crowner here.

Crowner has been glued to thread.

Crowner affixed to thread.

I don't like Set Piece it sounds too much like a general prop or one that's glued to a set.

[up] Set Piece is a less familiar term, but it is a real-life term from filmmaking. The question would be, can tropers can trained to know and use this term?

[up] No, the question is whether non-tropers (regular visitors) will intuitively grasp that we use the term in a different way than the rest of the world does. The answer is "probably not".

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!

We were kind of edging towards "disambig the page and split it into other tropes that also use the term," which isn't currently on the crowner. I'll add it.

Set Piece seems to be loosing anyway, but for the record, Set Piece would be closer to Shoot the Money, not this.

Calling crowner in favor of renaming to Money-Making Shot.

Did the rename as the book says, cleaned the wicks up.

However, Money-Making Shot could use a description and example cleanup, as well as more indexes.

OK, tweaked the description. No examples wrong here that I could find, and no indexes either.

[up]I've requested the lock already, but moderators aren't up on Hollers 24/7. Especially for these issues.
