Duplicate Image: Gladiator Games

Finish Him! has the same picture as Gladiator Games.

Mind you, it isn't a bad illustration for Finish Him!, but I think it's more appropriate for the latter.

Anyone have a good picture from the trope namer? (Which is Mortal Kombat, for those who don't know.)

Trope namer is not an example? Whoops, that's a bad name for the trope, then.

We should be able to find a decent pic of gladatorial combat. I like the Finish Him! painting, although I'd replace it with the higher quality version that's on Gladiator Games.

I think the focus is completely off in that one. It's just an aesthetically not very appealing picture.

Game, but yeah, if it's not an example of the trope, it really shouldn't be the Trope Namer. That's more of a Trope Repair Shop thing, though...

A video game is not the Trope Namer for the phrase "finish him".

Well, the trope does say the name is a meme, but it doesn't say it's from that meme.

Also, it's really more of a Catchphrase for the series...

Sure, Catchphrase etc., but that line is roughly equivalent to "Not to be confused with Uncle Tom Foolery, or TV Tropes contributor Black Humor." on Black Comedy.

I don't like those suggested images because it shows a battle in progress. This is when one person is defeated/helpless and an authority outside the fight says "finish him!" to the other. Like Bronn looks up to Lady Aryn and waits for her word (or lack of action anyway) before tossing his opponent through the Moon Gate. (Actually, seeing if there is a good frame of that...)

I'd favour either this◊ or this◊. None of the others suggest so strongly that one of the two combatants has the other's life utterly in his hands.

To be clear: The thread didn't have a trope linked to it before. The pictures I favoured in #6 was for Gladiator Games, not Finish Him!. Finish Him! should have the one it currently has.
