Hmm, I dropped the examples in the discussion pages. They were all "Heroic Pet" and nothing.
These incorrect examples - I left them in so that I could make a pass through when I know if there is a trope for them.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWhich articles now have it in the discussion page? I might be able to add context, either from knowing the work or looking it up.

Inspector Rex, Heres Boomer, Air Buddies and Airbud. These have it in their discussions now.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI added context to all but Air Buddies, which really isn't a proper example, given that it features talking animals.
OK. Next question: Is there a proper trope for the misuse or should I just remove it?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDragon Ball Z was working on Action Pet and someone else was working on Attack Animal, but I don't know the status on that. Also, if the example is a dog, you can always use Heroic Dog.

OK. I'll run through the entries, change these who are dogs to Heroic Dog.
Done, it seems. All the non-fitting exampels were of Heroic Dog, apparently.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI moved the panther in The Dark Elf Trilogy to Attack Animal and changed a few to Heroic Dog. I'm not sure there are any other examples left.

Now I can get around to launching that "Action Pet" ykttw. Thanks.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Does this thread need to do anything else, of can we holler to have it closed?
Closing up.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.
Crown Description:
The trope is about a genre, but the name make it looks like a character type. The page has been widely misused as a character type.
Mind listing which pages had the Zero Context Example so I can take a shot at fixing them?
Also, why did you change incorrect examples to this? The whole idea is to clean up incorrect examples, not rename the trope while retaining incorrect examples.
