Digimon Xros Wars II

So, where's the most recent ep? I still haven't seen it on my usual sites.

Has the bitterness over this season led to no-one wanting to finish subbing it?

I would hope not.

I didn't think the episode was all that bad, all things considered.

Me either.

It wasn't a super ep, but it didn't hurt either.

That being said... This saturday...

We've been waiting...FOR THIS MOMENT!!!

I truly hope this series isn't done. It's only barely started to scratch the surface of it's potential.

I think the only reason it's "ending at 25 is it has to surrender it's spot to that new Saint Seiya show. I think it's likely they might try for a new timeslot or a movie or OVA or something. I mean, look at how many damn times the original Xros Wars had to swap timeslots. I think the Death Generals arc transition happened on one of those timeslot switches, right?

Thinking back to the last episode of the pre-Death General Xros Tactimon attacking the real world, could have, if the show wasn't allowed to continue, could have been easily change to Baguramon, and they could have just did an abrupt end there. But as we all know it didn't work out that way.

Say what you will about Tagiru as a protagonist, But you can't help but think this theme is Kick Ass:

I haven't watched Young Hunters but I have read some of the complaints and quite frankly, I wouldn't mind a Digimon story where the world is not at stake. I thought the episodic Monster of the Week part Savers was the best part of the show.

Still haven't read much Xros wars yet(don't trust the download, waiting for a posted translation) but I have seen some of the toys, cards and generally like the larger effect it's had on the franchise. It seems to be the most serious Digimon anything since the Wonder Swan games that isn't focused on level hiking. Bad writing will be bad writing but I am not convinced there is anything inherently wrong with the Xros wars concept.

Looking back on it, yes he's an Idiot Hero, but that's not a crime. it's a bad stereotype, but he could have grown like his predecessors if the series hadn't been cut short. He had the bad luck to follow Taiki, who was quite popular, and the writers didn't balance him with the other characters well.

He's a good kid, and could have been a good main character in his own way I feel. There was just too much poor writing, and too much working against him. Anyway...

@Handsome Rob: Personally, I feel like if Tagiru was getting all the spotlight and attention in these episodes, they had more than enough time to develop him better. But they did not. The fact that we're at this point and he still hasn't grown up any makes him a total failure in my eyes.

Did not expect Rika or Mimi to show up as well. Which is cool with me as Rika was my first fictional crush and Mimi is cool in general.

We did not expect this one. Not at all.

I'm still trying to watch the ep. Man, why do things have to be so slow today. My guess is they used the obvious surprise to hide this one. They were hyping the return of the old heroes so much, I don't think any of us considered that they wouldn't just stop at the goggle boys. And now, every single character from the previous seasons is fair game.

Also, seeing the first of Agumon's mega forms fight side by side with the last of them is pretty awesome, and really reminds you how far the series has come. Wonder why they paired Ruki and Mimi though. Was it for the Tomboy Girly Girl dynamic, or was it just to surprise us.
