So this is a thing that's happening. Might be worth it if they give Snoopy mecha fantasies

There's a Peanuts anime now (or sometime in the near future)? Okay! Sounds like fun.

... I'm officially speechless.

In a good way.

So. Bets on Lucy giving the classic 'I-it's not like x' line when she pulls the football away?

I wonder if they'll be translating the classic four-panel gags into animation. That'd probably require stretching jokes in the same way Azumanga Daioh did.

Huh.

Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.

[up][up]Considering that Azudai was largely awesome, that would totally not be a bad thing.

There have been so many comics over the years they could easily pull off a Azumanga Daioh, Kill Me Baby, style show.

This level of trolling is reasonable for Commander Obvious. What do you think of this, everyone?

I don't know what to say, other than to watch out for all those anime haters using this as an excuse to say that Western is better, when both have their pros and cons.

Not terribly fond of Peanuts or Madhouse, but it'll be interesting to see what happens here

I'm surprised Garfield isn't an anime yet, considering how sellou— I mean, franchise-happy Jim Davis is.

Garfield is doing fine with Western studios. And I don't think it's terribly well-known in Japan, while Peanuts is surprisingly popular

Megumi Hayashibara is a big fan, and she's usually Marcie's seiyuu. I hope she's in this time too.

So this is only one short or what?

Or initially only one short?

I look forward to what I expect will be the best animation (in terms of animation quality) that Peanuts has ever had anyway.

Well, Madhouse has received "Bill Melendez Studio" status as far as animating Peanuts goes, so there will be more.
