Well, it does show how the country is made up. See that bit sticking off of Africa that shouldn't actually be there?
somethingI meant a pic that shows the actual country, not it on a map. I think its good enough to rank as Keep Until Better Image Suggested, but the pic for Ruritania, for example, perfectly illustrates what the trope is about.
I'm fine with it.
Yeah, I'd rather have an actual picture of what Bulungi is supposed to look like. Maybe a picture of Kijuju from Resident Evil 5.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I don't see how the pic doesn't show the trope.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything. It shows where the name comes from, but not what a Bulungi actually is. Similar to Ruritania, I would expect a picture depicting a generic African country, not just an explanation of the joke.
It's a country that doesn't exist in real life, somewhere in Africa. How is the picture not showing that?
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Well, no use arguing about it. I disagree with you.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Clock is set.
The image shows that Bulungi is a made-up country in Africa. That's pretty good. Know of better?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Sure, but does it show what the made up country in Africa is supposed to look like? No. That's my complaint.
I understand. Know of better?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Perhaps some shots or crops of these pics from Resident Evil 5?

I don't think any of those adequately convey the trope.
Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
The pic explains the trope's origins in The Onion, but doesn't really illustrate the trope. We need a good pic of a stereotypically Sub-Saharan African country. Any takers?
