Do the Deadpool and Doctor Doom entries have to be in character? It's especially inconsistant with the other character entries on the same page, and I fear it may make it confusing and disorientating to some people. Don't forget that the page is a more serious article about their ingame abilities and tropes, and not some silly Just for Fun page.

For example, Magneto has his own Self-Demonstrating Article page, but doesn't shoehorn it in his entry on the this page.

(although Doctor Doom complaining that Tron Bonne and Albert Wesker having higher intelligence than him and accusing Richards for working at Capcom did gave me a little chuckle)

I added that part about the intelligence. *takes a bow*

But yeah, I advocate they stay just because they're funny as hell.

Other than that, I got nothing.

EDIT: Also, Magneto didn't have a Self-Demonstrating Article at the time that page was made.

Given that it's Deadpool's schtick, it's readable, and it gives a good feel for the character, it makes sense that his section would go No Fourth Wall on the reader. I think it actually gives a better feel for Deadpool in the game than a standard description would.

Doctor Doom is a more hair-splitting example. He doesn't break the fourth wall, and he barely uses the first person as is (as has been noted, if your name was Doom, you'd be probably using the third person constantly as well). He gets a first-person article because he's perhaps the most beloved Large Ham in Marvel Comics (and up there amongst comics as a whole), and it's funny to imagine how Doom would write himself up.

This honestly seems to be another round of "when is a first-person article appropriate?" questions. I'll go with my standard answer that it would only be when the character is fourth-wall breaking regularly. So I'd probably only have DP like that.

(Though since the Doom example is amusing, if that was axed, I'd push for a Just for Fun version where everyone is described first-person... with Deadpool going meta and actually be the wiki article talking in first person about its video game incarnation.)

Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.

Clocking this. Let's not clog up the TRS with inactive threads, hey?

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.

I say correct Doom so he's in line with the others. Leave Deadpool because it's his whole schtick to break the fourth wall, as he does in the game all the damn time.
