Mine does that. If we have visitors, he will always spend some time playing with their shoes. Also their bags
The last thing you hear before an unstoppable juggernaut bisects you with a minigun.I’ve been eating more fruit recently. I got some good, juicy oranges from the 99 Ranch earlier this week. My cat absolutely cannot stand the smell of orange and will not be in the same room with me when I’m eating one!
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!I see.
My cat keeps messing with the dirt of my potted plant in the living room. Maybe I should put some orange in there? I would beat (or wet) the meowing life out of her while she's doing it, but I'm never there to catch her in the act.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I dunno if it's different in other places, but, since February is usually the mating season here, how are your cats dealing with it?
Mine has been meowing in weird ways in these first days, but he has calmed down a bit, so, maybe he scored with the neighbour's female cat? Unless he finally beat the shit out of the neighbour's male cat?
Oranges are toxic to cats. Makes sense your's doesn't like the smell.
Mine is fixed so not an issue. However, the neighborhood strays can be very loud.

People are mirrors. If you smile, a smile will be reflected.Dusty's fixed too, and as far as I know there aren't any wild strays nearby so I haven't heard random meowing or kitty porn music.
Stupid doomed timeline...I don't want to fix mine, but I get the situation. Thanks for the answers.
I've found grapefruit peel to work better than oranges; more volatile oils to burn their noses so they learn quickly to avoid spots with it.
Ack, my cat just clawed the everloving fuck out of my chest. Makes it look like I wrestled a tiger. A family member walked past me while I was carrying him and dropped a metal waste bin on our wood floor. After clawing me to hell he leaped from my arms while doing a 360 twist, latched onto the top of the curtains and pulled a good 5-foot horizontal Wall Run before he landed on the floor.

Ouch.
I had something similar happen to me over Christmas. I wanted to show off Jiji to a family friend so carried him to the room. However, a little kid was playing with a loud toy that freaked him out. In his sudden get away he ended up clawing my chest pretty bad. It took over a month to heal, and I have a scar.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Cats! I must introduce my cats, then! There are 6 cats residing here. 4 are kiddies of dear Mama, and one is just a lone cattie that wandered into the scene later. I haven't figured out this whole 'picture' thing yet so... Eve is dear Mama. Sterling, Luna, Andy, and Marigold are the kiddies, and turned 2 in August. 'Kitty' is cattie. She responds to Kitty in an un-catlike way, so it's sticking! There were 5 kiddies, but beloved Mel died in September from a seizure, as he was born with feline epilepsy.

Crow: There's a plot? One day I'll take a picture of my cat that doesn't look terrible.
One day.
Oh really when?But... cats always look good. Always.

Crow: There's a plot?Only one arrow needed in this case.
Sounds like a nice family.
Three is more ascetically pleasing.
Thanks

Crow: There's a plot?I took a picture of Dusty sleeping◊.
Stupid doomed timeline...Our little guy isn't fixed yet, because he's just big enough now, and we haven't got an appointment yet (well we now have an appointment on Tuesday but just for shots not for getting fixed) we should though as he is an outside cat (we got him to fix the mouse problem in the garage (and to be fair he is a good mouser, which is good as our last one would just hunt birds) and we also have a dog, that tends to you know want out/walks so it was kind of inevitable).
My cat's been sleeping next to me on my bed recently. Twice she came in early and came up on the bed and woke me up (I'm guessing she was hungry and wanted feeding?) but I fell back asleep and she settled in next to me. The rest of the time either I've carried her in or she's come in specifically to sleep up there. She's currently sleeping on the computer room floor near me. I think she's waiting for me to go to bed (which I should do now, it's 2.30 am.)
I have a double bed, too, so she's not curled up. She's streeetched out.

My cat sleeps on mom's bed sometimes but honestly usually he just curls up against the dog (never with me I keep my bedroom door closed).
My cat's name is Eddie. Why is he called that? Named after my favourite Batman villain, named after Meat Loaf's character from Rocky Horror, and also it's short for Eddie-puss.
Was that more complicated than you were expecting?

One of my cats is called Hector - he's a calico. I called him that after Hector in the Illiad, he handles the hissing and growling confrontations well when he has to - but always backs down in the end. Because he's a bit porky he's known as Hector Podge, or Hecky or Hectiger. Two of my other cats use him as a pillow; on account of his porkiness I guess..
My cat (who's currently being treated, since one of his paws had quite a damage) is called Yuri. I named him either after Yuri Gagarin or that other Yuri.

Our cat is named Seven as he looks kind of like Kristoff's reindeer Sven as he is white and tan but mom asked me the reindeer's name and I said ‘Suh-ven' and mom said she liked how that sounded better.
I shall have a new kitten soon. I have yet to decide what her name will be but it will likely be something written in one of Tolkien's elvish languages.

@Ozbourne Not feet in general, but every cat I've been with seems to love shoes, like nuzzling up to them, attacking the shoe laces etc.
