Yeah, in theory they could be referring to either one. In practice it's always going to be the Archer. Like how if someone talks about the character Saber without elaborating which, it's never actually going to be Caesar or Altera unless they're deliberately fucking with expectations. And if they talk about Artoria without specifying, it's not going to be Lily or Santa Alter or some shit.
You could also be talking about Mysterious Heroine X...
Also there's the fact that Kiritsugu is not EMIYA. The entity known as Counter Guardian EMIYA is the Archer-class servant we saw in the original VN.
We just call Kiritsugu, well, Kiritsugu.
Nonsense. She is very definitely not Artoria.
Also she's an alien. Somehow. Doesn't even have riding despite owning a Spaceship.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariMysterious Heroine X is not one of those filthy Saber-Faces. She's a mysteriously and unknown Assassin who is a totally legit hero, not one of those weak derivative Artorias.
... Mysterious Heroine X has a spaceship?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I thought Blavatsky had the spaceship?
It's actually part of the intro of Saber Wars.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariFGO introduced a new Assassin Servant whose real identity is Kiritsugu Emiya, from an AU in which he never met/married Irisviel and ended up going on a generally similar tragic path to Counter Guardian EMIYA. He's similarly white-haired and dark-skinned to EMIYA, though why isn't explained (EMIYA got it from his constant use of Projection for self-reinforcement).
Incidentally, FGO also introduced an AU version of Irisviel who never married Kiritsugu (and probably never even met him in the first place). Much fun was had when it came to Saber/Irisviel shipping.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. No you don't because I said "nearly everyone" and not "everyone." You can't serve as an exception if you've already been accounted for.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! When was the last time anyone on this thread actually wrote something?

Well, I wrote part of a chapter for a sort of retelling of the 5th HGW where the Servants are all Lilly versions of themselves (well, mostly) but then I got side tracked by fifty million other things, including a completely unrelated fic.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Yeah, and I put out the first chapter of the Massive Multiplayer Crossover version of the premise, and then wound up stalling/getting distracted while in the process of work on the second one.
So Archer Lily would just be Rin summoning that redhead guy from school?
A Soul of Fire has been completed. It was a mostly enjoyable read.
[DATA LOST]I wonder how many fics will be written about whether or not the Clock Tower will be affected by the current Brexit fiasco.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Brexit fiasco?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!"British Exit (from the European Union)". A nationwide referendum in the UK on whether or not the country should leave the EU has had its results announced yesterday/today: roughly 52% for Leave. Current PM David Cameron (who's a "Remainer") has almost immediately announced that he's resigning in response, a lot of economic shake-ups have happened (including the pound sterling hitting a record low never seen in the past 3 decades), and things of that sort. And yes, it appears to be effectively binding, because any of the legal options to sideline the referendum's results amount to political suicide and carry a huge risk of igniting Leave-ist mass riots.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Oh. Well, I don't know how many fics will be written but I highly doubt the Clock Tower would give two shits about it. The on goings of muggles mean nothing to them so long as it doesn't endanger the secrecy of Magecraft.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Well, I think they would still find it terribly inconvenient that they'd have to revise all of their plans that made use of the advantages granted by the UK being an EU member (e.g. open borders between EU members, which benefits intra-EU travel). I mean, really, for all the distance they try to put between themselves and muggle society, they still exist within the latter and have to interact with it on a regular basis.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. This ought to be a very conflicted time for people who want to remain on the EU. On the one hand, they want to stay. On the other hand, leaving means kicking David Cameron out.
Decisions, decisions.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariNobody's kicking Cameron out, simply because he's already announced his resignation. IOW, he kicked himself out.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Look, Marq, I know that failing to get anything that is not blindingly obvious is kind of your thing, but you have to be doing this on purpose.

I'm reasonably certain that nearly everyone in this thread plays GO. I also play it and my first assumption was that he was talking about Archer because why on earth would he be referring to Assassin given the fact that the conversation was regarding the parallels between Kuro and Shirou?
