So...
Sorceror Shirou.
Yes, yes, I know that it's the setup of a Mary Sue fic, but hear me out.
The reason to justify Shirou being a Sorceror is actually fairly simple. He comes into contact with the Root in a similar way to Ryougi Shiki, by achieving the impossibility of being both dead and alive at the same time, causing a paradox and making the world just give up because it has absolutely no idea what to do with him. How does he manage that? Well, Avalon manages to save him at exactly the same time that he dies, and for an instant, he is both dead, because that is already an event that has happened, but is also alive, because Avalon is still fully charged with Saber's prana at this point.
End result is that Shirou achieves a connection to the Root at the same time he is shaped into a sword.
Because of his connection to the Root, Shirou is now capable of achieving feats that are otherwise impossible, because of his heightened, instinctive and complete understanding of all things. Or he would be, if Avalon didn't essentially cripple him into a very specific True Magic, the Sixth known True Magic that still exists...
Impossible Blade Works.
Yes, I know the name's a little cheesy, but it was named by a kid that wants to be a Super Hero, so it's only natural for it to be cheesy.
Anyway, Impossible Blade Works has a key difference from Unlimited Blade Works. The latter makes inferior copies of the swords Shirou has seen. The former, meanwhile, makes 100% flawless copies. Shirou can understand swords to such an incredible extent, thanks to his glimpse into the Root of All Things, that he has achieved the impossible and managed to recreate artifacts that can no longer be recreated. Normally, this would not qualify Shirou for a True Magic, because while it would be difficult, it would be possible for him to refine UBW to that point, if I'm not mistaken.
What does qualify him for True Magic, however, is that he can go beyond human limitations. UBW cannot trace blades like Excalibur and Ea. Excalibur is simply a blade that cannot be forged by humans and Ea is a blade made with materials from beyond the world, both making critical steps of tracing fail. With IBW, Shirou can trace them 100% perfectly and reproduce the wielder's skill with 100% accuracy.
Of course, just because Shirou can use a True Magic, it doesn't mean he knows he can do that. Kiritsugu never knew, because Shirou never gave the impression that he observed The Root. So his abilities are still limited at the start.
However, there is one very large change from the get go. Namely, Rin doesn't summon Counter Guardian EMIYA. She instead summons a bona fide heroic spirit named Emiya Shirou, from Japan, the last Heroic Spirit humanity produced, super hero and experienced wielder of the Reality Marble Impossible Blade Works.
Given that this needs a step up from the villains, my intention was for Gilgamesh to become royally pissed off when Shirou traces Ea in front of him, resulting in him dropping all pretense and summoning himself as Grand Archer, pulling a Solomon and deciding that he's gonna wipe out the current pathetic humanity right now instead of waiting for Angra to do it for him. He does have a weapon that can cause the Great Flood. Once he uses Enki, the heroes have seven days to beat him and/or break Enki to save the world (because that's how long it takes for the Great Flood to destroy the world).
Oh, and Shirou and his Heroic Spirit self would pull an Onimusha 3 at some point and fuse into a single being, there'd be at least one instance of Saber using Himitsucalibur with twin Lightsaber Excaliburs and Rin figuring out the Kaleidoscope just in time to combine with Shirou's True Magic to unleash the mother of all Excaliblasts on Grand Archer by simultaneously projecting every possible variation of Excalibur throughout every parallel dimension Rin can access.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariWait, is that why Kuro could perfectly Trace Excalibur? She's not human, so she squeaks by on a technicality?
Well, technically, she's kinda sorta like a fairy. As a homunculus, she's kinda sorta like a nature spirit, so, yeah, she could theorically squeak by on a technicality.
Though, of course, using Excalibur would still kill her, because of how it works (mostly because it uses all the Prana you have, no matter how much it is, to fire, and Saber only gets by that on a technicality herself).
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariWell, she sets it off like an explosive arrow like Archer does, so I guess she survives by not using it in the way it was intended.
Considering how much projecting it would cost, breaking it would probably kill her, too.
Or kill Illya later when she has to do a Mana Transfer for her. It'd certainly leave her ravenous.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariThe obvious solution is to bring more people in on the Prana Transfer Ritual.

Being shoved into a giant demon's vagina has to be one of the weirdest ways to cause an Earth-Shattering Kaboom that destroys the world.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariThe world being ended by being shoved in the vagina of a kung fu hacker sex cultist is pretty strange yes.
I have no idea who greenlit this game, but I do know that I hate the fact that it wasn't ever brought overseas.

Wait, is that Prydwen? Why that thing is in here? And what are those fireworks-

Hollow Order is now on Rome. Dracula, Andersen, and Karna were the only Servants brought along. Boudicca is one of the Servants summoned against Nero and is attacking her shortly after the group's arrival.
Nero is proving great already.
"Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus," the woman replies proudly. "But you may call me 'Master' or 'Emperor' to save time."
There's a pregnant pause.
"What? No!" You rub your eyes. "You- I don't know what game you're playing, but one; you aren't Nero, Nero was a man. Two; we aren't your Servants because they're my Servants."
"I suppose I can see the source of your confusion," 'Nero' says loftily as she places her hand on her chest, exposing her Command Seals. "But I am the most glorious, talented Emperor of Rome, and I have summoned you with my considerable talent for magecraft."
"No you didn't, I can see the paint peeling," you retort.
'Nero' steadfastly refuses to even hide her painted-on Command Seals.
To be fair, Nero has Imperial Prerogative. She could actually do that, if she tried hard enough. At Rank EX, she can use it to basically gain any skill for a limited amount of time, though at an admittedly low rank.
Incidentally, given just how broken Jeanne Alter is as an Avenger (seriously, her crits are insane), I guess it's a good thing Gilles summoned her as Ruler...

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariShe probably could.
Avenger Jeanne ended up being a Hilarious in Hindsight moment for the fic, as Jeanne Alter was an Avenger instead of a Ruler in it.
So... What's the backstory of Jeanne Alter?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. From what I heard Gilles + Grail= Crazy Dragon Lady
Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go.Jeanne Alter isn't real. She's a 'fake' servant created by Gilles.
It's literally impossible to summon an alternate version of Jeanne, there is no alternate Jeanne, so Gilles couldn't summon a 'vengeful' Jeanne. However, he's so crazy and had access to the right tools, that he wound up creating his own Jeanne. Her 'Dragon Witch' skill is a result of him building her as a literal opposite to Saints, specifically, the tales of Saints taming or vanquishing dragons (like Saint Martha and Saint George).
Because she's not, well, real, she can actually self-modify like Nursery Rhyme (though nowhere near the same extent), which makes one wonder... why did she think keeping her height was a good idea?
(She's 152 cm tall, by the by. Jeanne is tiny.)

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariArturia was about that height too, so it makes sense that they not only look similar but are of similar proportions as well (well, barring one area; the chest armor must've concealed that discrepancy from Giles in Fate/Zero).
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. And the times he saw her in the suit, it was dark.
And it could've been justified from his perspective by the suit being that restrictive, and it's only because "Jeanne" having superhuman fortitude that she could even breathe in spite of that, let alone walk around and even fight.
That said, we should remember that Giles in FZ was completely bonkers, so I doubt he would even notice the petite chest of Arturia unless he somehow managed to hug her. ("Oh, my poor Jeanne! You must have been starving for weeks, to be this emaciated! Come, I shall prepare a feast in honor of our reunion!")
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
Hollow Order has had a few more updates. Chaldea is under attack by an army of Homunculus probably sent by Lev, while Shielder and Sanson head to a mini-Singularity to try and defeat Sanson Alter before he manages to jump out of the Singularity into Chaldea again and fuck everyone up.
with his StandThe last few updates have really reminded me why I hate voting for what happens next. In Sanson Alter's first temperance there was a vote for which Servant to Command Seal in to fight him, before anyone knew what was really going on. There were a lot of votes for Corday, who in hindsight probably would've been easily killed if she'd been brought in due to both being absolute shit tier even for an Assassin, having been executed by Sanson in life, and Sanson Alter's absurd abilities.
