Damn, the "original" page picture is in JPEG and I can't find a non-artefacted version of it. If I re-save it in JPEG, there will be further quality loss, and if I save the result in PNG, it won't compress good because of the artefacts!

Yeah, that's bang-on. Since this is effectively a quality swap, and a fairly low-priority thread, I'm gonna go ahead and lock this.

The Open the Iris page image is in two parts, but its top part is the opposite trope, and if it's from a particular scene, the MLP:FIM example provides no information on it (or about what his normal eye size is).
