This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Definitely cut the note, it's superfluous complaining and the quote is demonstrative enough on its own.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. She's gone
My favorite sci fi enemies are the giant sexy depressed womenBottom-paged, so bumping this.
I'm fine with pulling it/moving to the quotes page.
While choosing the image for From Zero to Hero, IP voted to move the old quote to the caption and replace it. While updating QuoteSource.Theatre, I realized that Offended by an Inferior's Success has the same quote:
and a Scotsman, dropped in the middle of a
forgotten spot in the Caribbean by providence
impoverished, in squalor
grow up to be a hero and a scholar?"
I think it better describes From Zero to Hero, since it reads more like curiosity at someone's zero-to-hero arc rather than offense at it.
Yeah I think it works better for From Zero to Hero.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadback lol
Removed from Offended by an Inferior's Success, thanks for the input.
Maybe another more insulting Hamilton Burr quote could take its place?
From "A Winter's Ball":
- How does the bastard, orphan, son of a whore
Go on and on
Grow into more of a phenomenon?
Watch this obnoxious, arrogant, loudmouth bother
Be seated at the right hand of the father!

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Ooooh that's good
My favorite sci fi enemies are the giant sexy depressed womenIs the quote for "Not If They Enjoyed It" Rationalization clear enough about the rape because while the speaker insists that the other person “enjoyed what happened in that hotel room”, I'm worried that it could come off as something else as it doesn't explicitly mention rape, but I'm not sure so thoughts?
It’s a little vague, but I think given the language used makes it very clear what the topic is. The quote doesn’t need to explicitly mention rape. It’s already assumed because of the trope page,

I’m sorry, but you have Stage 9 Animes. The quote for Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap! is really long and tedious to read. Here are two much shorter examples I nabbed from the Quotes page, which is better?
Lars: I ran and hid, Steven, like any sensible person would... do... if they wanted to get trapped on a ship. Oh.
Kirito: Well, clearly I'm stabbing myself with this sword to see if it kills me— Oh god, what am I doing?
I don't think Adoption Conflict makes sense for the trope. It sounds like it's about divorce custody and the trope is about biological versus adoptive parents.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Agreed, pull that.
I like the first one a bit more. The second is weaker on the slow realization since it's a sarcastic response.
Prefer the first one.
Agreed, the "Karen took the children" meme was always about divorce custody.
VideoGame.Ys III Wanderers From Ys was recently launched but the quote is talking about its infamy. Should we remove it?
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AYeah... that's just bashing the game in quote form. No reason to keep.
Grand Theft Auto is getting its own Complete Monster page and we need to choose a quote before the page is created. These are all of the potential quotes that have been suggusted so far in the Complete Monster Proposal Thread:
I personally give my vote to either the Tenpenny or Dreyfuss quote, what do y'all think? Furthermore, if you have your own suggestion, please post them if you can cause there's is nothing wrong with having more variety.

"Stand proud, Sukuna, you are strong." | He/Himto Dreyfuss quote
I think they all could work but personally I prefer the Dreyfuss one.

Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
Is the note on the page quote for Soapbox Sadie really necessary? It feels like complaining and doesn't really add anything to the definition of the trope itself
