Isn't that good?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Mmmm, yeah, I don't have a problem with this one.
I don't see how this is any better than Demoted to Extra having that picture of the one girl it used to be named after. It's a reference almost no one will get. It's just a game console—is it discontinued? Why? Did they make a new model? Why is that bad? How many people liked it? Was it really that great?
This isn't a good image at all.
It looks like a game console. It looks modern, multiple controller ports. I don't recognize it, maybe it didn't last very long.
Pretty lame. But not awful.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Agree with helterskelter.
Fight smart, not fair.Yep, it's bad.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Yeah, this isn't the best image. Unless you know that the Dreamcast was ahead of it's time and short-lived, this image doesn't tell you much about the trope.
Reaction Image RepositoryThat and it's pretty biased to pick Dreamcast in particular as the example that provides the page image, and I say this as someone who is pretty fond of SEGA games. (Though personally I never got a chance to play Dreamcast... yet... at least as far as I recall.)

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartAny suggestions to replace it?
I want to say something from Megas XLR, but Google is giving me trouble finding a properly demonstrative pic of how awesome it was. Not sure if we could use that, but it's a guy from Jersey who has a giant robot from the future with a car for a head. It was very awesome, but it got cancelled.
Still need More Dakka, and it's about time to start a real WAAAAAGH.I think we may want to take a stance on certain YMMV and Audience Reaction tropes that says you can't put an image of something you thought was Too Good to Last up. Seriously, the fan myopia is just annoying.
Fight smart, not fair. All I care about is that it demonstrates the trope. A picture of a game console or a cartoon is not telling anyone how or why it was Too Good to Last. Now, if someone could find, say, a comic strip mentioning how said console or cartoon was this trope, that's fine.
What about adding the launch and discontinue dates on the Dreamcast picture?
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.I'd much prefer an In Universe example.
Fight smart, not fair.I know this is not great, but if we need the trope spelled out...◊
That's actually pretty neat. Support.
Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova ScotianIt's really big though. That could stand to be shrunk about a third or more.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Agreed...liking it aside from that.
Scaled down.
Fight smart, not fair.Dig.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Me likey.
Add me to the "I like it" column, please.

Most people wouldn't recognize it these days.
I TELL YOU HWAT!
