Snow White - St G-44? As the first Disney princess I feel like she should be some kind of "revolutionary" historic gun design.

And not because the big H was supposedly a closet fan.

Ariel gets a harpoon gun, duh.

Plus I'm not confident that it's a brilliant idea to fire any kind of gun underwater. Does water in the chamber and barrel have much of an affect on the chamber pressure and ballistics of the bullet trying to exit?

The Russians made a fire that is made for underwater use. Kinda nasty really.

This is of course different then firing it with water in the barrel on the surface.

For a Norwegian, you'd want a Krag-Jørgensen then. One of our very few native designs, and a successful one to boot.

It has a rather funny magazine solution, with a door on the side for loading rounds.

Hmm, I feel like as siblings Elsa and Anna should be two related but different designs.

Maybe a Krag for Ariel, though?

Love the jargon. "Introducing more kinetic options and reducing the kill chain, giving the operator a dynamic battlespace advantage." [lol]

Aww, if only all my long guns took magazines...wonder if a 10/22 mag has enough weight to do it?

Maybe I could try to apply the technique to my handguns?

So, in the topic of "clueless political memes", my mother in law posted a meme of Gunny Hartman saying "If you have a problem with law abiding citizens being armed, then you are the reason law abiding citizens are armed".

Yeah, make an anti-gun control meme using a character who gets murdered via gun (not by a privately owned one, natch, and I guess by definition, you can't be murdered by a law-abiding citizen as murder is against the law...)

R Lee Ermey is big in the NRA.

Huh, that's a bit shady. I thought at first that that was an official NRA site and was wondering why they were putting R. Lee Ermey's social and economic politics rather than anything to do with, you know, guns. Then I went to their "About" page and it's actually about "the fact that the organization is a rogues gallery of the most odious voices in the contemporary Conservative Movement". Not that I can honestly disagree that I find some of the NRA crowd to be nutters, but a website that at first glance seems to be an official NRA page but in actuality is run by an opposition group is rather bleh.

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.

Apologies; I simply typed "r lee ermey nra" into Google hoping to find some official page explaining his role in the organization. It fooled me too.

This shouldn't be as funny as it is:

Man in bulletproof vest says 'shoot me,' is killed

It sounds like the vest, assuming it worked to begin with given its age, wasn't fitted properly to the guy, or maybe the low-calibre round bounced off of a bone and did a bank-shot down into his heart.

Most Darwin Awards begin with:

  • Check this out!

  • I've seen this on TV....

  • We have plenty of time!

  • We're not gonna get hurt!

  • What's the worst that could happen.

And the number one in the South:

  • Hold my beer and watch this...

All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be on The First 48

Really? I'd have thoughts a Scot would rather down his beer than trust someone else with it.

"Hold my beer and watch this" is supposedly the last thing said before a car accident in the state of Texas as well.

[up]From what I've heard, a true Scottish beer is strong enough to defend itself from others if you need to leave it unattended.
