Overused caption

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, and I'm not very involved with this site at the time so I could have no idea what I'm talking about.

However, I noticed that the caption "One of these things is not like the others" is rather overused. It kind of radiates "Shows us how it's done" to me. These are the pages that have it that I can see.

As long as it fits, I don't mind too much. I'm not sure what any of the work's are referring to, though.

The works seem appropriate to me, too; if you skim the description, you can figure out what they're talking about. That said, if someone can come up with a better caption, it would be fine to replace it (although a discussion thread should probably be started before any actual replacement is done).

because it doesn't seem to be adding anything. They all look kind of alike to me? Is it because a character is lesbian? I don't know the work, it just came up when I searched.

I guess I just don't want to see that caption everywhere /picky

From the work description, it would seem that one of the characters is female and the rest are male. Hence the caption.

I think it's sometimes better to replace if there's something more... intuitive to go by. It loses value as a joke when used too much, honestly.

Really? Three of them look like girls to me, but I don't know of the work.

@boobu: You can link to the pages by typing <Namespace>/<WordsInCamelCase> or <Namespace>/{{<Singleword>}} (e.g. Manga/HououGakuenMisoragumi or, uh, Manga/{{Chickenfart}}. You can ignore the namespace if it's Main/.)

I don't know the work, either, but "girl ends up at all guys school" in the description suggests that only one of the people in the picture is female.

If someone can come up with a better caption, I have no objections to it being switched; I was just pointing out that it seems like the caption isn't completely irrelevant.

I don't see why a discussion thread should be started to remove a lame caption that's making the page worse. One was even potholed to Memetic Mutation, jeez.

"The one on the right/left", sometimes potholed to Captain Obvious or Blatant Lies, is also an offender. Very common caption, not meaningful, not funny. Kill on sight, IMO.

Humor's a subjective thing. I wouldn't really worry about captions that aren't Fan Myopia or wiki endorsement.
