Speaking of music, Tsubasa's character CD is out next week wednesday according to the official site and someone else's (I'm assuming Chris but I can't understand Japanese) is due on the 28th.

I wonder if Fine will get a character single... or even sing in the show.

That reminds me that the ending is among my top ten weirdest things I ever saw on anime.

If they can sell it, they'll have it happen. Everyone loves a good Villain Song.

Just watched episode 10 Cris joined the party and like everyone expected the last battle was a goddamn trap! Finally death flag raised for Hibiki(NO!!!). Next episode will not be pretty.

I've been thinking about Ryouko/Fine, and I think there's still enough room to pull some sort of twins with Foe Yay thing on us, if Fine appears next episode.

Akuma made me smile. Why yes, the best part about adulthood is doing all the stuff you couldn't do as a kid.

Chris's gear rocks. Okay fine, Chris in general rocks.

Hibiki has this tendency to up the les yay. I swear, her conversations with Miku are some othe most romantic lines I've ever heard. Not that I'm complaining.

Three more episodes...

You know, remember how Tsubasa failed to suicide after singing her Swan Song? Did they ever explain why?

All I know is, I will cry tears once Hibiki starts singing hers. Sigh.

True, why did they make her so loveable?

It has already been said that Hibiki can't die from her swan song...

Tsubasa is a natural Valkyrie, and they said the Swan Songs are supposed to destroy both you and your opponent, she might have stopped mid-song or Chris just managed to escape really really fast (Since she's a natural Valkyrie too, they're might be something there).

Kanande was clearly... not a very natural Valkyrie, and she was in the heat of the moment and is obviously a very heat of the moment person (Plus she was trying to kill hundreds upon thousands of Noise while trying to save a thirteen year old girl) so she just sang her heart out.

Speaking of Kanade, anybody else notice that her song is basically Hibiki's second song with all the Hibikis replaced with Kanades and a few other changes to the lyrics?

Furthermore, Kanade required constant drugs in order to use her Symphogear effectively. In the first episode, when her Symphogear started to lose its shine, it wasn't because it was losing power, but her time limit was up. Think of her as a more stable Druggie from Gundam SEED.

There are more tidbits like that untranslated on the Japanese site.

That makes her usual chipper demeanor creepy.

Oh, I'm not calling her insane. I compared her to the Druggies simply because she needed periodic drugs in order to stabilize her gear. Tsubasa's a natural, she didn't need any such modification, and as such had a natural chance of surviving a Swan Song.
