I was always under the impression that his regression was actually voluntary?

I never undertoos what Sol was saying before his crash viper line. I thought he was saying TIME FIGHTAH or COME FIGHTAH! The crazy animation during that point just makes him sound even more deranged. Faust's line even more so. It sounded like Ky Kiske towards the end but I think he's saying "The Doctor is inn!"

Maybe he'll voluntary regress into a kid then?

I actually think that's the official pronunciation. Guilty Gear XX is also supposed to be pronounced "Guilty Gear Excess", at least, I remember something like that.

Apparently, that's right, but that's still... odd. I mean, there's not even a Z in the title. I'm not sure about XX, though. I don't even think the XX is pronounced, to be honest.

I'd say Bridget, but I figure after five years, he wouldn't look or sound so androgynous (or at least not as much as he did in XX). Jam, perhaps? Maybe even A.B.A.? I could pretty much see her as any of the remaining females (Justice notwithstanding, since she's dead), except for Baiken and I-No.

I think the GG game I have on Wii is pronounced 'Ixvent Accent core' in full. Wouldn't have guessed the ixvent part, at least.

I always pronounced it as "X2", since that's what the original NA release was called.

On a slightly different topic, you know who needs to come back? Fanny. Not necessarily as a playable character (since she plays like Dr. Baldhead Faust), but if Petit says she has a connection to Dr. Baldhead Faust, why not show it?

Also, I'm surprised there isn't some Dynasty Warriors-styled title set during the closing years of the Holy War or even the alternate timeline where Ky died during the Battle of Rome which led to the Gear Plant Battle. Sol's pretty much a One-Man Army and Ky could probably fare well enough if backed by his own platoon of Holy Knights, not to mention that the Gears could serve as Mooks. And if you wanted to, you could have Justice or Dizzy and Testament as Villain Protagonists leading the Gears against the humans.

Admittedly, I haven't that much knowledge about the Guilty Gear mythos, but given what I have heard about That Man, I can't help but imagine him voiced by Martin Sheen.

A corpse should be left well enough alone...

Maybe, but I don't think the series would start bringing in guys like him to work on the dub.

Why should I care whether the game has English dubbing or not? The Engrish is 1/4 of the fun, if you ask me.

Agreed with Millia, Potemkin, and Zappa, but do you have any alternate ideas for the others. I'm not trying to be so restrictive, but the goal was to come up with a good cast without having a heavy overlap with the cast of Blaz Blue.

And wouldn't it be Eddie instead of Zato?

Because Overture had it? Because BB has it? Because just about every other fighter out there within the past four years has an English localization and dub? Obviously, you should have the ability to switch between JP and ENG voices for whichever characters you desire, but I don't see why GG shouldn't have a dub. I don't know about you, but I'd like to be able to understand what the characters are actually saying.

Oh yeah! Well, I just get the vibe that the dub studio would want to get some of the Blaz Blue guys in, since Guilty Gear's also an ASW title. Who would you pick for guys like Eddie, Venom, Anji, Jam etc.? I'll find some other picks.

Would that necessarily apply? The only person (that I know of) who voices a character in both series is Tomokazu Sugita (as That Man and Ragna), so there's not really a precedent for it, but I guess it depends on the voice director.

Honestly, I have no clue. Well, don't worry about it too much. It's just hypothetical, after all.

Dunno, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Yeah, but I think it's fun to guess voice casts. Also, thought of Kate Higgins as Jam and Crispin Freeman as Anji, maybe they might work for those characters.

Having watched some of Chobits before, I now can't not imagine Anji acting and sounding like Hideki.
