That could be interesting and helpful. I'd love to read some of the work.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter! We already host web original material in Darth Wiki. .
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyOn Darth Wiki, we host wiki pages. But this proposal are for the actual story, along with feedback. For example, This kind of thread.
Although there are a few floating around, some of us think that putting them all in one place would encourage more of them. Oh, and the Character Development Thread can also into there also. They tend to attract a good amount of activity.
There are unpublished works in Darth Wiki.
Here: DarthWiki.Unpublished Works. Use the discussion page.

Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyRedundant section of this post deleted.
Hosting unpublished work in a forum is more convenient than a wiki page, in my opinion. I have seen a case where blanking a page for an unpublished Troper Work led to an edit banning. I would post a link to the appropriate posts in the Edit Banned thread, but it... died.

The last battle's curtains will open on stage! There is plenty of traffic flowing into the forums that writers can have for excerpting their WI Ps. The Darth Wiki pages, asides being primarily for trope and surface description only (not the actual writing), don't enjoy the benefit of regular forum members.
I don't think it's redundant if we create another section, threads like this and this can get separated from the muddle of brainstorming and "Help me think of X".

You can't discuss the work on the Darth Wiki though, and you aren't expected to actually post material, just description. In a subforum, people could post material, comments and critique, separate from writers block, so it doesn't get mixed in and lost.
SPATULA, Supporters of Page Altering To Urgently Lead to Amelioration (supports not going through TRS for tweaks and minor improvements.)& Seconded. Having a kind of repository for full works and the criticism thereof would not only simplify what goes where, but also clarify the purpose of each subforum. Everyone knows what World Building is for, but the purpose of Writers' Block specifically has grown steadily less clear over time; with a separate forum for Writers' Works, the Writers' Block forum could be more effectively used for things like preliminary planning, general conceptual and stylistic discussion, and just general writer chatting.

I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception. The Internet is hip deep in fan fic repositories. Why are we talking about building yet another one?
My reluctance here is is yet another thing we need to monitor. I don't want to host a bunch of funky slash fics and other juvenile sex fantasies.

Except most of us don't write "funk slash fics" or "juvenile sex fantasies". And we're not proposing a "fan fic repository". We're talking mostly about original stories, not stereotypical Shipping.

Most Writer's Block folks that I've interacted with are mature enough to report offensive material instead of fanning the flames. If they aren't, I volunteer as an unofficial monitor— I certainly have enough free time.

The last battle's curtains will open on stage! We shouldn't be about hosting full works. That's not our job.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I agree. It doesn't seem like the sort of thing we need to do.
Rhymes with "Protracted."I don't believe we're asking for "hosting space" on the site. Tropers already have some threads sharing their work anyway in Writer's Block, and we're asking for a distinction. Separate X from the pile. If there's trouble, we always have the /!\ button

@Fighteer,
True, but then there's the Role Playing forum subsection...
Bleh. I'm neutral to the idea. It would probably help clear up Writer's Block... slightly... depending on what we put there, but at the same time, we have outside sites like FictionPress or whatever its called (the one that's a palette swap of Fanfiction.net)...
I am now known as Flyboy.FE: In Writer's Block, there is a problem of having work-in-progress threads getting clogged out by threads asking general writing questions. We are asking to devote a subsection of Writer's Block specifically to posting threads of original works which are still in progress, in order to receive detailed critique and revision.
It is not for listing links to completed works, which is what Darth Wiki is about. Nor is it for fanfiction, as we can go elsewhere to host them.
I'm going to second this proposal. I'd like to see a subforum for critiques on specific works while keeping the main Writer's Block as a general "trade discussion" board.
On behalf of this thread, I would like to propose another sub-forum, called "Creative" (or Writer's Work, or Troper's Work. The exact name can be decided by the Writer's Block community). It's an idea that had been floating around and discussed before.
I'm requesting this because some Tropers in the Writer's Block forum think that making another subforum just for Troper stories/serials/other creative stuff that isn't discussion will encourage both posting and reading. Such threads often drop off the first page rather quickly. Also, having them in one neat place will hopefully encourage more of such stories.
Also, it'll round out the Writer's Block—World Building duo, perhaps warranting its own category separate from Real-ish.
