Okay then.

..........................wwwwwwwWHY isn't Jack Frost in the trailer??

Also, the Tooth Fairy's design is the most interesting and original to me, so does it figure that she's the only character that someone here says "she looks atrocious"?

Could be they're holding off on introducing Jack Frost and his whole Hero's Journey storyline to focus on just getting the main concept out there.

I dislike the Tooth Fairy's and Pitch's designs (Pitch should be more Boogieman-ish)

Also, in before Pitch becomes a Draco in Leather Pants

I love the designs, but I do agree that Dream Works has this bad habit of modeling eyes as if they don't know where in the Uncanny Valley to place them. Dreamworks Animation eyes are usually very almond-shaped with big irises, making humans look zombied, instead of rounder and friendlier. Don't know why.

So pretty. The only visual thing that bugged me was Santa's beard; it looks like something from 10 years ago.

Does anyone know if the trailer music was part of Alexandre Desplat's score? If so, I'm in love with it already. This could be like the HTTYD score all over again if they do it right.

Huh, guess that explains why there's a spot open in the sleigh next to Sandman: They edited Jack Frost out of those trailer shots.

That looks really cool. And I like all the designs.

According to the books, it is Pitch, King of the Nightmares.

Wow.

This story is DEEPLY PERSONAL to Joyce! Not only did the concept stem from his ideas he created for his daughter and son... but his daughter DIED at a young age too! No wonder the story and the movie look so deeply dramatic!

The title is kind of cringeworthy. But based on the trailer? Yeah, I can dig this.

Although I don't understand how Dream Works Animation can be flaunting Madagascar 3 one minute, then turn around and release THIS. It's practically bipolar.

They're a company big into their sequels, but they're getting better as a whole. I guess the sequels are just easy funding so they can work on the good projects.

Speaking of, Burly Russian Pirate Santa Clause? That is basically all the reason I need to see this movie, even if Pitch didn't look awesome. Not terribly up on the tooth Fairy's design as some have already said, or the sandman's for that matter, but oh well. Still looks like it's gonna be sweet.

[up] And most of their sequels aren't that bad, actually.

But yeah, Russian!Santa looks great. The character I'm looking forward to, however, is Bunnymund. I mean, the guy saved the world just by digging and invented the continents while he was at it! How awesome is that?!?

Badass Tattooed Burly Russian Santa. This. THIS.

And haters gonna hate, but I love the Tooth Fairy's design. You don't see a whole lot of hummingbird-inspired anything, let alone fairies. It's got a very mystical look to it. I love it.

[up] To me it just looks like someone saw some Brian Froud or other faerie art drawings and said "I CAN DO THAT!!!" without really being able to. To each their own of course, I just find it disappointing seeing as this is the only female character (supposedly) and every other design looks really awesome.

What impresses me is that they seem to be playing the fantasy straight rather than being hip or "clever" with it. No tongue-in-cheek asides to the audience, no undertone of "ha ha ha, we know how stupid this is, making Santa out to be a Badass!" My god...it's a Reconstruction of the icons of childhood folklore!

Stuff what I do.
