"Get Pumped" Music

Let's not mince words. It's finals week. Some of us have late work to finish, some of us can't focus well enough on our own, some of us just need proper motivation.*

And what motivates you more, I ask, than the proper bitchin' music to study to and get yourself ready?

In this thread, we'll discuss the music you use either (A) to focus for studying or (B) to get yourself psyched and ready for anything life throws your way. In this way, we'll help each other help ourselves. So, HEAVEN OR HELL, LET'S ROCK!

My personal playlist ATM is rather short, but potent. It consists of three main songs:

• "Libera Me From Hell" from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I think every "get pumped" playlist to have this.
• "The Distance" by CAKE. My brother's lacrosse team uses this song to get fired up before a game.
• Guile's Theme from Super Street Fighter 2. Yeah, yeah, it's a cliche, but it works, dammit.

For getting pumped, I always liked the Manowar songs Holy War and Sleipnir, as well as the Alestorm songs Wolves of the Sea and Heavy Metal Pirates. these are all powermetal, which seems to be a love it or hate it genre, so im not sure about you.

This one only works in certain situations, but still counts.

As cheesy as it may be, Dragon Force's "Through the Fire and Flames" is guaranteed to help you get pumped. If you want something a little less over the top, you can't go wrong with Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger".

I prefer the Red Alert 2 soundtrack, myself.

I once discovered by mere accident that Mozart's 25th symphony gets me pumped while playing violent videogames. :)

Now I understand where that location comes from. I always thought it was a nod to homestuck and rape. .__.
