Exilixi: If you've got an idea, I'm all ears.
Maybe for an enemy. The idea I have involves some less-than-appropriate for a WIF character things.
Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-Sweet, been browsing it.
Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.comI spent some of my afternoon hanging out in the IRC and learned a few things.
1. Version 1.0 will contain a major overhaul of just about everything. It may be a bit of work to convert existing campaigns.
2. I talked a bit about the Wyrmling Abomination (see my earlier post), and now one of the dev team wants to use it as an example in an article about how to fluff things out
3. It's possible I might end up joining the dev team to help out with settings.
Very nice, If you get it Congratulations!
Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.comNice. If that does happen, you'll still have the time to run WIF, right?
Also, is this a volunteer job, or do you get paid?
Also also, the nice little subversion of Linear Warriors, Quadratic Wizards isn't going to be messed up by the overhauls, is it? A lot of the reason I like Legend is because it balances mundane classes and casters better than any other system (ever, period).

Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-Yes, volunteer, and...
Leave it to a bunch of powergamers to figure out that tying Con to HP the way it is now with Legend's current rules and item list means that a level 20 character can have anywhere between 168 and 700 hit points (give or take). The devs view Con as something of a stat tax for precisely this reason.
I've suggested this and talked with a few people about giving Con a skill that would let you shave time off of certain ongoing conditions.

That's quite a number...
:smug:Ah, gotcha.
But we (the face punchers) aren't getting screwed?
Note they already made a thing to help with that- Dartmuth Secret, which ties HP to INT.

Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-There's still a ton of debate about the whole issue. Apparently it's something of a powder keg, which I accidentally set off around five minutes after my debut in the IRC.
These are tabletop roleplayes. What do you expect?
Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other->Elementalist (fire)
>Fire Elemental
>Skeleton Champion (with Fire as the element chosen when that circle comes up)
>Just Blade
This is what happens when you take themes far too seriously.
Now to do it with THUNDAH!
Just Blade, Skeleton Champion, Elementalist (lightning), maybe Air Elemental (maybe), the Sky Opens, that one feat that requires Just Blade and gives you lightning stuff. . .
The point is, this game makes an elemental addiction really easy to support.
Also, Skeleton Champion is the coolest thing on the face of the planet. I'm starting to wish I could kill my character off just to bring him back as a skeleton, but that is incompatible with our campaign.

Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-... Not anymore it ain't. That's not going to happen to Aisling, but if Eoghan bites it I might allow this.
Eh, Eoghan doesn't really work with the skeleton-based concepts I have. It would basically end up "the same guy BUT DEAD!" or make no sense at all.
Hm. . .
- Skeleton Champion
- Knight
- That one Tactician track
- Path of Destruction
I think the Path of Destruction stuff synchs with the Knight stuff.
ETA: Why is it that I can never seem to get behind defence tracks?

Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-Me neither, honestly.
Although I would highly recommend that you have something defensive if you're going to take Knight, since it basically forces you to be the meat shield.
Also: Anyone interested in running legend might want to look at the dm screen I put together.
Yeah. I'll have to find a track that doesn't require many of those pesky actions that aren't geared toward kicking things in the face. Though I'm still wanting to play Eoghan, mind.
By the way, Mr. Future Setting Designer, is there any way I could bribe you into giving your two cents on Domhain Sceal?

Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-Not ones you'll like - I've been watching the latest argument over Badass Normal classes, and I'm personally with the Special Training faction. I don't like the idea of stating that This Is How All People Without Powers Are, especially in a setting with the mission of distinguishing between races and cultures as much as Domhain Sceal generally does.
edited 5th May '12 9:28:55 PM by KyleJacobs
That's the thing- I'm not saying that This Is How All People Are, I'm saying Batman Is This And So Can You. Badass Normal being the exception to the rule, not the rule (the rule being that everyone who isn't going to receive at least ten lines of speech and/or a combat encounter is, in D&D terms, a Level One Commoner).
Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-I think you could have made that a lot clearer in the actual thread, then.
That's what I'll work on. Thanks.
Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-Pity there's no mind-control stuff in Legend.
Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-Tried this out. Thoroughly unimpressed, I'm afraid. I just don't see any advantages over 4E, aside from the "because there's less shit, there's less broken shit" element. And that sort of thing is best controlled on the DM side of things anyway.
I've been putting together a slightly... different character sheet for this. Give it a look and let me know what you think. Also, it's not fillable because I don't know how to do that - you'll have to print it out and do it the old fashioned way.
Interesting.
