When you say "Japanese characters" do you mean that the games they are in are made in Japan or that they are described in-game as being Japanese citizens/born in Japan?

The former. I don't even recall any western/eastern made characters of Japanese Blood other than Scorpion.

Now, I'm adding The Scout(Team Fortress 2), Sonic Boom(Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure), and Cerebella(Skullgirls) to my list of favorites

I mean, really, an adult actrobatic with demonic arms on her head is less ridiculous than an 11-year-old scientist with an animated blob(Kira from Arcana Heart).

None. I only like Japanese VG Characters.

And why is that? Why? have you ever play a VG NOT from Nippon? Or ONLY Japanese-made characters interest you? And if it's the latter, then what do they have that NON-Japanese-Made characters don't?

There are probably some users here that like the things about Western Video Game characters(or games) that you find better than(or just dislike) Japanese characters(or games).

Blegh, I usually find non Japanese VG characters to be the same run around with tons of guns and being a broody badass type, but I like characters that only show half of those traits, namely Ratchet and Issac from the Binding of Issac.

Every Bio Ware party member. Or most. Bio Ware are really good with supporting characters. Also, Saren, Loghain

And all the companions in New Vegas. They all have interesting backatories and great quests associated with them.

Non-Eastern videogame characters? Oh my. Prepare for a long list.

Kain. Raziel. Guybrush Threepwood. Gordon Freeman. Alyx Vance. Eli Vance. Minsc. (& BOO) Imoen. Jon Irenicus. Okku. Gann-of-Dreams. HK-47. Morte. Annah. Fall-From-Grace. Nordom. Dak'kon. Jade (BG&E). Sam and Max. Kyle Katarn. The Team Fortress 2 crew. Virgil (Arcanum). Kerghan. Micheal Thorton. Sis. Albatross. Steven Heck. ED-E. Veronica Santagelo. Christine Royce. Dr. Mobius. The Sink AI Personalities. The Hiigarans. Jim Raynor. Kane (C&C). Andrew Ryan. Dr. Tennenbaum. SHODAN. The X-COM grunts.

And this is just a partial list. Really, I like more Western game characters than Eastern, because Eastern ones inevitably have some anime-inspired personality defect that makes me want a fire axe.

EDIT: And excuse me, I forgot DEEKIN.

Eastern characters are allowed, as long as it's not from Japan.

Or have anybody hear of any Korean, Chinese, or Russian Titles?

In that case, I'm afraid my answer is the same as Vorpy.

That's not to say that I dislike Western-made characters. It is just that on my list of favourite characters, Japanese games are very over-represented. So when asked this question I become really hard pressed to find a character I like enough to say is my favourite.

So yeah. Maybe the Sniper, if I've got to pick someone.

I for one am particularly fond of the entire cast of the Banjo-Kazooie series. Especially Kazooie, who takes a lot of flak and gives it all right back.

I forgot to mention him before, but Kyle Katarn is another wonderful character. He doesn't fall under the brooding archetype that one of the posters above mentioned, and he manages to be both witty and badass at the same time.

^^ There's always a reason.

Adding Arcturus Mengsk, who always struck me as such an effective villain.
