Tira

Tira was not expecting the man to react in the manner he did. Probably a mistake to go for a kick there. Should have used the blade, he'd have had a much harder time grabbing that in the same way. Would have made for a good laugh if he did try that, however. Tira hit the ground just short of where Blackfire was standing, and she didn't even wait for herself to stop sliding across the ground before popping back up to her feet by rolling backward off the ground, her feet coming dangerously close to Blackfire's face and possibly hitting her in the head if she was not careful to evade, an unintentional move on Tira's part, who was more concerned with the fight now unfolding.

Now back on her feet, Tira watched as the man turned to the thing she had nicknamed Buggy, for lack of any other name, and started firing his guns insanely fast at it. She was unhappy about this. Not because Buggy may be in danger, but for a completely different reason she made sure to make clear as she ran at Deathstroke again.

Hey, how are you reloading that fast? That's cheating! Tira had not quite understood how much gun tech had advanced yet, to say the least. This time, Tira choose not to go for an aerial attack, and stuck to the ground as she advanced on Deathstroke while he fired on Buggy. However, she would stop before she got into what Deathstroke probably considered her maximum attack range, and bent completely backward toward him, using the length of her body to extend the range of her already considerably large weapon, sending the blade hurtling toward Deathstroke's head and chest.

As Blackfire watched the battle unfold, she was able to easily dodge Tira being thrown at her, just by flying.

Suddenly a purple glow appeared both at her hands and her eyes, but she wasn't angry as her bored expression had turned into malicious grin.

She flew above death stroke and began to blast him, first with her bolts aimed at his hands and her eye beams directly at his face.

Forgiveness is beyond justice, faith is superior than hope, redemption is better than perfection and love is greater than them all.

Doomstadt—Throne Room

It took a considerable effort on Ahriman’s part to hold his tongue and let Ra’s al Ghul speak, after Maximus gave voice to his suggestion on how Doom could prove that he truly was who he claimed to be. It would have been perfectly in-character for Doom to lash out in response to such a thing, and his anger would not have been feigned in the slightest; even now it was already threatening to boil over in explosive rage, worthy of a Champion of Khorne.

After the last two days, Ahriman had had enough. First Doom ambushing him in the middle of the night, forcing him to scuttle the carefully-laid plans that he had spent seven days setting into motion; then Stephen Strange instantly managing to see through his deception not twenty minutes ago, simply based on a reaction that could have meant anything (and, in fact, had had nothing to do with his own deception); and now this coterie of self-important mutants and technocrats, none of whom could even begin to fathom just how small they were in the face of the uncaring universe and the forces who ruled it, wanted him to give up the one thing he’d managed to salvage from this entire debacle just prove that he was who he claimed to be?

Maximus was fortunate he didn’t simply reach out and choke the life from him, Cabal or not.

But as Ra’s al Ghul told his tale, the Chaos Lord’s simmering rage began to cool somewhat, giving way to calm and analytical trains of thought. So his suspicions were correct, then; one of the other Overlords had claimed Ra’s al Ghul, and was using him to spy on the Cabal much as Ahriman himself was. If there was any doubt, the all too brief pause between the man opening his mouth and actually going into greater detail as to what happened—a pause so brief an ordinary human wouldn’t even have noticed—dispelled them utterly.

At one particular detail, Doom narrowed his eyes and cupped his chin in one hand. ‘Golden horns’, was it? And whoever they belonged to had been busy as well, if Luthor’s comments were any indication. He knew of no Overlords with any such horns, and there were any number of people in this world, heroic or villainous, who could have matched this rather vague description…

No. It had to be Loki. The timing was too good for it to be anyone else.

So the trickster god was still reaching out to the Overlords, as he’d done to Ahriman last night and the Master before that. But was he helping, or hindering?

Behind his mask, the tyrant scowled. Perhaps he was playing both sides and waiting to see which would come out on top. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time; he knew that from Doom’s pilfered experience.

I’ll just have to arrange something special for Loki when he arrives, then…

Turning his attention back to the conversation, he saw that the prevailing winds had shifted in his favour. The Cabal now seemed to believe him, albeit only because Ra’s al Ghul had (allegedly) managed to slay his would-be assassin, a fact which rankled. At Luthor’s words, he nodded.

“Agreed. These invaders will rue the day they chose to invade our world.” Linking his hands together, the tyrant of Latveria inclined his head. “Once we have pinpointed their location, my Doombots will wipe them from the face of the earth.” Then his eyes narrowed. “And Maximus. Doom will not forget your words. When this is over, I will teach you that Doctor Doom does not play Abraham binding his son Isaac for anyone.”

Even as he said these words, a light on the computer console began flashing insistently, demanding his attention. It was an early warning system, he saw, an alarm to let him know that radar and satellite imaging had detected something approaching Latverian airspace at high speed.

Raising an eyebrow, he pressed the button just beneath the light, activating a secondary monitor to display whatever it had found. Grainy aerial footage of the Latverian countryside formed on the screen, gradually clearing as geostationary satellites tracked a small object flying through the air at considerable speed. At a touch the image zoomed in, focusing on what seemed to be either an armoured woman, or perhaps a very lifelike android whose appearance mimicked a woman; with this world and its inhabitants, it was hard to tell. Silvery metal armour, a matching visor and a sleek black bodyglove covered much of her body, but her hair was allowed to flow freely in a long silver-blonde braid, whipping in her wake like a tail as she flew at incredible speed. And were those swords floating along in her wake?

He didn’t recognize her at all, either from Doom’s memories or his own. Was she another of those newcomers, like the one he’d seen accompanying Blackfire?

It seemed possible.

The light flashed again, and text scrawled across the screen informing him that the surface-to-air defense batteries had established a target lock. He quickly typed in a single command, ordering them not to fire, but he did not order them to stand down, allowing them to track her arrival.

“It seems Doom may have an unexpected visitor shortly,” he said aloud, turning his attention back to the Cabal. “I must cut this conversation short.”

Teridax

The Makuta took the drawing from the child's hands and examined it closely, nodding to himself as if in appreciation. He ruffled the boy's hair absentmindedly as he did so and as his hand passed through the child's hair, Karata would find much of his apprehension simply fading away. It was as if simply by being in the presence of his angel took his fears away.

Which of course was true.

"Bad memories you say...."

The Makuta sighed and giving the child a slight pat on the head, he looked up at the dank ceiling of the drain.

"Unfortunately, going back to the space station is impossible for me right now. The heroes are tracking me and if I were to teleport back with you they'd find not only me but also the rest of us. My friends aren't quite ready to face the heroes just yet."

The Makuta's expression grew troubled.

"We need more time. Just a bit more...then we will wipe the heroes off the face of the earth."

Turning back to the boy, the Makuta's expression grew softer.

"Please, Mr Angel needs a bit more time before anything can happen. Be patient for good things come to those who wait."

-Metal Construct-

It had taken him some time and not a few stops on the way for reorientation but at last, he was at destination. He stood upon a deserted island- only recently abandoned- and the beach upon which the waves lapped told the story. Deep fissures of were carved into the sand and rock of the island, glass and charred sand were the only witnesses of the fierce battle that had raged here not days before.

A mutant had died. His blood still stained patches of broken ground.

But that wasn't what Teridax was after. Around the beach, buried in the sand or entombed beneath the quiet waves were metallic bits and pieces: all that remained of a grand attacking force that had assaulted the island's only inhabitant.

These pieces Teridax now drew up from their resting place. Like bees they swarmed onto his body and became one with his flesh. Fearsome weaponry whirred back to life even as the Makuta trudged slowly back into the ocean. As the waves once more covered the master of metal, Teridax's face cracked a smile.

Waste not.

Doomstadt, Castle Gates

Lambda certainly did notice the anti air defenses locking on to her. Though wary of them she kept on her way, flying over Latveria and entering Doomstadt's airspace.

She was momentarily jealous of this other overlord. While she could appreciate that she could feel jealousy, it didn't take away the sting on having her country in tatters, while a colleague not five minutes away was leading such a prosperous place. But that was half of the reason she came here.

She landed infront of the castle gates, her armor disappearing into particles of light. This left her with just the body sleeve, and in place of the armor a segmented yellow, black, and white mantle covered her upper body. She stared at the gates of Castle Doom with her ruby eyes, waiting. She knew the conqueror of this place knew she was here. Any pleasantries she would save for when they were face to face.

Zeal, Space Base

Zeal smiled as Greed eased her issue, and panted from Greed's peck on the cheek. It took all her willpower to not just claim him on the spot. Zeal was having to go against lust and that was what gave her the foul mood. However, with Greed here, Zeal felt she could do anything and whispered to Greed, Can't wait.

"...Alright then," Zeal eventually decided after hearing Tatu's suggestion and having an idea of what he might want. "Greed, we shall go down into New York."

"If Tatu wants us to conquer, then I shall put our plans to conquer into motion," Zeal smirked as she ordered Dalton to gather up all of the Zealots and all the members of the Hellfire Club. Zeal also grabbed the Hypno-Pollen and the four Keep seeds to pocket and shrunk the Enchantress Dopple Doll so she could pocket that as well, and then told Greed of her plan.

"Greed, we are going to finally claim the assets of the members of the Hellfire Club," Zeal told Greed. "But we are going to need a base on Earth and I know just where."

Greed, Zeal, Dalton, Wilhelmina, and the rest of Zeal's Forces soon all teleported back to Earth to a place the Enchantress had been before.

Zeal, New York, Beginning The Long Ploy

The Manhattan Ash Hotel never stood a chance. After all, the Enchantress had been here before when hunting for the thunder god Thor himself. The mortals who worked here were already smitten with the Enchantress and they would end up being servants of Zeal with what she learned from the Enchantress.

Zeal had the Zealots set themselves up as the security of the hotel, watching the security cameras and alarms, and keeping an eye for any unwanted visitors. Dalton himself now served as the Security Chief of the Hotel. Zeal even made hotel security uniforms to the Zealots who were to be seen in public. The members of the Hellfire Club save for Wilhelmina were sent back to their own lives, but as they were still under Zeal's thrall, they would still serve Zeal faithfully. They were told return to their own lives and to not tell anyone about their encounter with Queen Zeal. Additionally, they were also ordered to sabotage any efforts that went against her plans of conquering New York. After all, many of them were in positions of political, military, and economic power, and Zeal did not want any armies coming in and attacking her. Lastly, they were also told that Zeal would contact them if she needed them, and to contact her if their was any trouble.

However, she gave a special mission to the members of the Hellfire Club who owned media networks. Zeal had herself recorded on film, posing sensually and chanting sweet nothings of obedience to her for the audience. This was something that Amora never tried and Zeal wasn't sure if it would actually work or not, but the idea was that anyone who watched and heard the recording she made would want to become slaves of Zeal as well. The mission she gave to the members of the Hellfire Club who owned media networks was to get this recording on the air without revealing that they were serving Zeal's interests now. She wanted everyone in New York to fall in love with her. However, this was also the part of her plan that would end up attracting heroes to stop her, but this was also the beginning of her attack on New York, so let them come to her in the Penthouse Suite of the Manhattan Ash Hotel. She will either make them her slaves or have Greed kill them.

Zeal's Recording

Should the film Zeal had recorded air on television, the viewers would see Zeal moving as sensually as she could as she attempted to put anyone who saw and heard her recording under her spell.

"I have heard that the defenders of this planet think of us as invaders and that may be true, but I myself had done nothing wrong... I had only killed villains, but it was your world's villains who caused the most damage in fighting against us. I only wish to bring this planet to the heights of pleasure under my dominance."

With the way Zeal was seductively caressing herself, anyone watching the recording might actually want to be under Zeal's dominance.

"We had been in hiding for so, so long, but recent events have caused us to take a more direct approach in our invasion, not that any of you here would mind... After all, you all want to be dominated by me. You all want me to bring you all to the heights of pleasure as my eternal slaves. You all want to serve your new queen, Amora Zeal."

The film would then loop back to the beginning, hopefully convincing any who watch to serve Queen Zeal as her eternal slaves.

Zeal, Penthouse Apartment of the Manhattan Ash Hotel

Greed would find the choice of hotel room that Zeal had picked out for her and Greed was the most luxurious room in the hotel. At the top of the Manhattan Ash Hotel, it was as large as a small house with a full-sized bed, a Jacuzzi, an electric fireplace, a kitchen and dining room, and its own private elevator. It was the most luxurious small house Greed had ever seen, and only mansions could be seen as more luxurious. And it was all for free. The hotel staff were happy to give them this luxurious room and even their eternal servitude to Zeal and him.

"Greed, I welcome you to the former Enchantress' home away from home!" Zeal presented the penthouse suite to Greed. "This is one of her home bases when in New York and it shall serve as our home base in New York."

The Dopple Doll of Amora was placed off to the side next to the entrance in a sensual pose with her forearms making a 90 degree angle from her shoulders and her legs spread apart for balance as if she was being using as a coat rack. Wilhelmina was also there as Zeal had persuaded her to become Zeal and Greed's personal servant. There was also a big screen television which Zeal was using via remote to keep track of how her plan with the recording was doing... Both she and Greed were naturally immune to her recorded spell after all and Zeal could turn it off if an invited visitor was coming.

"Unfortunately, I expect heroes to eventually find us, so we can't exactly have our fun just yet, but... I'm sure you won't mind." Zeal said smiling to Greed, kissing him on the lips.

Chase Young - Somewhere in China

Chase was rather surprised that the metallic head knew who he was, given that pretty much no one from that universe besides the Flash and a handful of Central City policemen knew his name. He had not even told Luthor. Which meant that whoever was behind that mess was someone that Chase had already met before he was abducted from the Land of Nowhere.

Or someone who had already met him, but who he hadn't met just yet.

"Let them come," he replied, smirking at the decapitated robot head as if he had suddenly discovered it contained the secrets of the universe. "I will make sure they are properly received."

Now he just had to wait for the Flash to return so that they could get going. Not to the base, though. It was finally time to set up his own domain, and what better location than the mountain ranges in western China for that purpose. Besides, the real one was already there.

Chase Young - Space Base

Upon finally leaving the kitchen and joining the other Overlords, can of soup in hand, Chase noticed that the Master was out of the time chamber, and Zeal and Greed were nowhere in sight.

"Let me guess," the warrior began, looking at the the housekeepers holding large piles of communicators and blueprints before turning towards the Master. "Going out for some exercise?"

Tesseract - Utter Carnage

The symbiote. Of course. The weapon of mass destruction that Amon had been hesitant to use. From what Tesseract could see, it was obvious why: it was a being of pure destruction and malevolence.

Amon likely did not have control over it. Tesseract would have to take measures to ensure his safety around it.

Tesseract grabbed Amon by the waist and hefted him over his left shoulder, the briefcase and bag tucked under his right arm. He could not trust Amon to stand, not even for a moment of teleportation. The man needed rest.

Menardi - Space Base ~ Where Everyone Else Is

Menardi took Tatu's hand, and was transported back to the others before she could reply. No pressure, huh? She smiled.

She was not surprised to see that another...copy and clone were the wrong words to use, since they were all true reflections of Tatu...another Tatu standing before an assembled group of Overlords as he gave the order to attack New York City. Menardi nodded to herself. They had to wrap up this world soon, before the approaching opponents were upon them.

However, Master Koschei appeared with the communicators, and Menardi was reminded of her promise of helping him with his mark. Perhaps they could fry two birds with one fireball. Menardi walked over to the scientist.

"You look tired, Master Koschei. Here, I'll help you with the sorcerer, as you helped me last time." Menardi smiled and patted his shoulder. "Do you know where he is?"

Gotham City

The slight entertainment in Medusa's expression slowly melted away when Catwoman grabbed her throat. In the same moment, the tattoo on the upper arm of Medusa's right arm started to move and came up off of her skin. The snake head became more realistic as it lashed out and bit down on Catwoman's wrist. With surprising strength for ink, it removed her clawed hand from the witch's throat.

With a sigh, Medusa viciously drove her knee into Catwoman's side, right beneath her ribcage. The tattoo on her other hand shot out to bite down on the wrist of Catwoman's other wrist. The two magical snaked started lifting Catomwan off of her feet and into the air. "Why is it that you humans are never able to tell when you are out-matched?" Medusa asked, all mirth gone from her voice. "This is your last chance, give me a reason I should keep you alive." She warned.

Crona's sword clanged off of the flower's stem, the vibrations causing the teen to shake. Crona looked up at Poison Ivy with a grimace and said "I'm normal for me." The teen raised up their sword, preparing for whatever Ivy had next. For a moment, if Ivy listened close enough she might catch a slight hiss. Suddenly, several snakes lunged out from holes in the walls at the plant woman in an attempt to bite her.

Doomstadt—Throne Room

Ahriman continued to track the newcomer’s arrival by satellite feed until she was right over the castle, then switched to a feed from the castle surveillance systems to watch as she landed in the courtyard before the castle gates. His eyes narrowed ever so subtly in appraisal as a transformation went over her, the visor and pieces of armour vanishing from her body along with the swords to leave her hands and lower legs bare; there was skin here, too, leading credence to the idea that she was less of an android and more of a cyborg, though he still couldn’t be sure without an in-depth examination. A large mantle formed from thin air, draping itself from her shoulders.

The message seemed clear. Whoever this person was, she meant no ill intent… for now, at least.

Leaning forward, Doom pressed a key on the console, opening a channel to his ward. “We have another visitor, Kristoff,” he said. “I shall meet with her myself. Advise the castle staff to be on their guard until her intentions are clear.”

With that done, he issued a short command for two of his Doombots to meet him at the gates. Then he locked his console, to prevent anyone from seeing or tampering with what he had been doing, rose to his feet, and left, his emerald cape billowing behind him as he strode from the throne room.

***

Castle Gates

With a deafening groan, the immense metal doors which made up the gates of Castle Doom began to swing inward, parting to reveal a large antechamber whose stone walls and vaulted roof were supported by thick columns of metal and steel.

Ahriman stood atop a short flight of stairs a short distance into the antechamber, still disguised as the late Victor von Doom through his image inducer and mass displacement fields. The pair of Doombots he had summoned flanked him on either side, standing on the step immediately below him, their posture and bearing every bit as imperious as his own. From this vantage point he looked down on the newcomer, assessing her with folded arms and a piercing stare.

It was difficult to assess her age, though she seemed young. Her eyes were a most unnatural shade of red, not unlike that which the vampire, Dio Brando, possessed. The bodyglove she wore made it clear that she was in good physical condition, and he saw that she was short, compact, athletically built. To an unwary observer, she might have seemed a child almost, hardly much of a threat. But Ahriman had seen her armour, and the many blades which had followed her as she flew; whoever this woman was, she clearly wasn’t harmless.

Behind his mask, he raised an eyebrow as he took in her braid; this woman must truly have an impressive amount of hair, for it to be quite that long. It was impossible not to overlook the blade at the end of it, either; was it simply a decoration, or a weapon? Could she somehow control her hair, to make it whip about like the tail of a scorpion and skewer her foes?

He did not know. And until he could learn more about this woman, who she was, what sort of abilities she possessed and where her allegiances lay, he would remain on guard.

Doom spread his arms then. “Welcome to Latveria,” he proclaimed. “To what does Doctor Doom owe the pleasure of your company, Miss…?”

Castle Gates

Saya was not expecting to be greeted by Dr. Doom himself. If what Tatu told her was correct Doom should have been defeated. So was the Overlord somehow assuming Doom's form in order to rule this country? It would be a logical conclusion to take such an action, but this is just speculation. Oh well, time to take a shot in the Dark.

"Saya" she spoke up, clear as crystal. "Queen Saya of the neighboring country of Troy. I was recently appointed, and advised to pay you a visit. You were supposed to be informed of my approach." She finally finished not trying to hide her displeasure with Tatu, but she supposed he was busy elsewhere.

Doctor Eggman-The Doctor Is In

All of a sudden, the teleporter flared up, and out of it strode Dr. Eggman in his Egg Walker, victoriously flanked by his Badniks and a new hoard of Octobots. He looked non the worse for wear, though that was because he’d taken the time to fix up in his new aquatic base (so generously 'donated' by Doctor Octopus). Affixed to his back through a harness were now four tentacle like limbs, each affixed with sharp metal claws. It would be clear to anyone looking that Dr. Eggman had been victorious against Doctor Octopus, and that the superior genius had won out in the end-Him.

“So, did anything exciting happen while I was off establishing my scientific superiority? Wait, don’t answer that,” Eggman said, holding up a hand. Using the new neural link he’d gained from Doctor Octopus to psychokinetically connect to a Buzzbomber he’d left behind in the control room to monitor things for him in case anything popped up, he got a report of the past few hours.

The deal with Luthor, his apparent betrayal, the news that this despicable Loki character had been sabotaging them all along, and the news of the arrival of a group of meddlesome do-gooders from across the multiverse flashed through his head. “Hmph, I see,” He said with a stroke of his mustache. “Well, doesn’t this just complicates things…” He’d have to ask Tatu for the necessary materials so he could step up production on Project Titan.

Turning back to those in the command room, Eggman took in the sight of Chase Young and Menardi. “It seems we’ve added some new members to our ranks! Allow me to introduce myself. I am Doctor Eggman.”

Doomstadt—Castle Gates

Doom’s brows drew together behind his mask. “Indeed?”

The name Troy was not unfamiliar to him. From his own memories, he knew it as the fabled city state and subject of one of the Blind Grekian’s epic poems; but he suspected that this “Queen” Saya was not referring to that long-dead polis. Indeed, a more likely answer was already rising up from Doom’s knowledge and memories—an island city off the coast of China, ruled by the mysterious man known only as the Mandarin, a perennial foe of the superhero Tony Stark.

Eyes narrowed, Ahriman glanced at the woman’s fingers then, studying them in greater detail. He had not noticed them at first, hidden partially by the great mantle she wore; but now that he looked closer, he could see the rings adorning her fingers, each one glittering in a different colour.

These Doom recognized immediately. The Mandarin’s rings were supposedly of xenos origin, each one the product of ancient, arcane sciences, each one empowering their wearer in different ways. Any man who carried all ten was a force to be reckoned with, and the Mandarin would not have parted with them easily.

That settled it, then. She was clearly one of the newcomers—and clearly either very powerful or very dangerous, if she could best a man like him.

“Then forgive Doom his impertinence, Your Highness,” he said courteously. “I was not aware I was in the presence of visiting royalty.” The tyrant of Latveria stepped to one side, turning slightly to gesture at the antechamber beyond him. “Come in, and partake of Doom’s hospitality.”

Then he reached out to her mind, broadcasting a short telepathic message. +Mind what you say,+ he warned her, +until we are in private.+

Bowser - Madripoor, The Cave - Requiēscat In Pāce

As the funeral and burial of Cain Marko drew to a close, a now older Desco and an unrecognizable Schala had greeted Vaas and the Koopa King and warned them of an impending threat, courtesy of this world's mightiest heroes. Bowser took one of the stacks of paper being offered, leaving the other for Vaas, but not actually reading it (for two reasons: one, he figured it could wait until he got back to base; two, he HATED reading [just ask him about what happened to his kid sister!]). Realizing that Schala wanted input on how she and Desco looked now, he decided to speak up.

"Nice seeing you two again. I'm diggin' the new looks."

He looked back at Vaas's mercenaries, now finished with the burial. He cleared his throat and spoke to them all.

"Alright! This cave's gettin' sealed! Anyone who wants out, get out now!"

Bowser proceeded to punch the cavern wall with his new, Cyttorak-enhanced strength, knocking the foundation of the cave out and causing it to begin collapsing, with enough time for everyone present to get out before it would become their tomb as well. He headed through the portal and into the Space Base once more.

Greed, Penthouse Apartment of the Manhattan Ash Hotel

Greed whistled as he surveyed their new digs. When did he learn to whistle? Guess he just knew how to somehow.

"I'll give her one thing, the Enchantress knew how to live. But you've certainly got the better decorum."

His finger tapped the side of the Amora doll's head to emphasize his statement, before hugging Zeal tight and returning her kiss. Tongues were involved in that kiss.

Then he broke it off.

"Not at all, sweetheart. It's like I said, good things come to those who wait."

Castle Gates —> Antechamber

Saya awaited "Doom's" reaction. In her mind she began to debate whether or not it would be better to fight or run if things turned violent. Thankfully they didn't, and she was welcomed in. She was able to relax just a bit, now even if her outer visage didn't change as she stepped in.

She then noticed the telepathic message, and briefly scanned the room with her eyes. Indeed it wouldn't be good for either of them to blow his cover. The people might not take kindly to the revelation that Doom had been killed an replaced. There was no use in lingering here then.

"Let's not waste time, Count. We have quite a bit to discuss, if you could show me to somewhere we could talk properly it would be appreciated." she said hoping that Arhiman would get straight to the point.

Desco

Desco smiled and nodded, she liked to be complimented. But it was already time to head back to the station. She opened up another red portal and motioned to Schala. "Let's head back and find something to do!"

Back in the station, Tatu had made a suggestion to attack New York City. One of the big time cities in the United States. "Come on Schala! We are going to invade New York City! Its a very big city, perfect for a Final Boss to rain fire from the sky!" Desco walked over to the teleporter, but stopped short. "Hmm, but how should we start? Maybe we should destroy some of the really tall buildings to get everyone's attention! Or start a zombie apocalypse!"

Tesseract's Mooks - Overlord Station

"Please don't."

One of Tesseract's mooks, a blonde woman, was looking at Desco with her eyes wide.

"Attacking New York is an incredibly bad idea. The NYPD is the seventh-biggest army in the world, and as soon as the word gets out about the attack, the world's second biggest army will be there to back them up. Not to mention that the States has around one gun per person in circulation, so they could theoretically field a militia 300 million strong."

"Not to mention, the last time someone knocked down a building in New York, half the western world went to war for ten years. The superheroes are kiddie shit compared to the several million soldiers that will kick our ass from here to Alpha Centauri."

They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!

Schala

Schala smiled as well at Bowser's compliment and followed Desco back through the portal. When Tatu suggested that they attack New York, Schala frowned a bit. She was not eager to attack innocent people, but it was what Desco wanted so it should be what she wants and so followed Desco over to the teleporter. However, one of Tesseract's mooks, a blonde woman, brought up points suggesting it was a bad idea. While Schala didn't want to do it, she did think the blond woman's points didn't make sense. If this NYPD was so powerful, why did they need heroes like the Avengers? Schala knew how powerful both Klarion and Teekl were from fighting them, so Desco and her had that sort of power now to summon a zombie apocalypse or even to make some of the heroes her servants like Klarion did to her.

"Well, Tatu wants us to do it," Schala told the woman and turned to Desco to ask her a question. "You want me to be in a specific form?"

Desco looked at the blonde woman and just shrugged. Those numbers were hardly impressive to Desco. They couldn't attack her all at once and she was just talking about ordinary humans. Even if they were demons, their numbers meant they couldn't beat a Final Boss. "Desco will be fine. They don't have Daddy's technology. It's the super heroes that Desco has to worry about! They could beat Desco. If they have a 5 color Rangers team that would be big trouble!"

"Uh.." Desco had to think about that one. Since they were going to fly around for a while, something that could fly would be the order of the day. "Maybe you should be a Succubus so we can fly together!"

Schala

"Okay, I'll stay a Succubus!" Schala said happily as she waited to follow Desco into the teleporter. As for Desco's plan, she figured both options could work, even if she was reluctant to do either. The real difference between the two was which would happened first and which building was chosen as the target.

ECLIPSE

China

The panther returned to his master's side, idly chewing on an Ultron robot arm.

Gotham City

Even as defeat pounced upon her, Catwoman regained a bit of her strengths to muster up a smile. "As if I'd give you the pleasure." She snickered, spitting on Medusa's face. "Whatever the heck you have planned, it's not gonna work out. They're going to defeat you, just like they always do. Shame I won't be around to watch it." She grinned, as her tongue scoured the back of her mouth, unveiling a white object her teeth promptly clenched. "Ought to be quite the show."

Poison Ivy didn't have that option available to her, and before she could counter-attack Crona, a snake bit down on her wrist. Yelling, she swerved around, trying to pluck it out as another snake bit down on her neck. Her plant opened up, dropping her down unceremoniously as she tried to run away, two snakes biting down on her legs, before another one bit down on her arm. Ivy's screams filled the house as the plants began to shrivel up rapidly, spreading a putrid stench and littering the floor with leaves, as Ivy convulsed on the floor during the last seconds of her life...

São Paulo

Twelve and a half minutes later...

Although most of the floors of the Edificio Italia were empty due to it being a Friday night, one of them was still lit up, all thanks to two workers who had to stay behind in order to make sure everything had worked out fine with the massive job they had just been given.

"Jorge, você já checou a impressora?" Marcos asked out loud, rubbing his half-shaved beard as his eyes were still glued to his computer, the only one still on in an office filled with computers. The co-worker, a man of black skin, held onto a cup of coffee, constantly rubbing his face as it was showered by the lights of the massive office printer, currently working on the latest pages of that week's issue.

"Checou a impressora? Eu estou na impressora faz umas dez horas, caralho!" Jorge yelled back to his co-worker, who barely registered the yell, even as he started to slap the printer. "Essa porra se mexe tão rápido quanto uma tartaruga- gaaah, eu quero explodir essa filha de uma p—"

His angry outburst was interrupted as a body was suddenly thrown through the window of the building- which was quite a feat in itself, considering they were on one of the top levels on one of the highest buildings in São Paulo and there was nothing outside those windows but the night sky- crashing through the desks and landing by Jorge's feet. The two co-workers looked at each other for a moment and suddenly yelled, falling back on their behinds, completely frozen in fear.

The body belonged to a man wearing an orange and black armor, which had been ripped apart at several parts, revealing some of his arm and his leg, both of which had horrible wounds. Heck, the man's leg was halfway through being sawed off, showing some muscle and even some bone. Deathstroke groaned as he clicked off his mask, revealing his partly charred skin (at one point, he had electrocuted himself to get rid of bugs trying to get into his body) as his eyes wandered up to the two workers. "Sai... daqui."

Jorge and Marcos looked at each other, nodding anxiously. They stood up and were about to book it when three other figures came through the hole on the ground, figures which made the two co-workers do a double take: Tira, Blackfire and Anub'arak, who through their combined efforts had make short work of the experienced mercenary, and were showing little to no wounds. This time, Jorge and Marcos didn't wait, and quickly made their way to the exit stairs, just as Deathstroke pulled out his pistol and tried to shoot his last few rounds at the three attackers.

Space Base

Amon squirmed once he and Tesseract arrived on the Space Base, breathing rapidly. "Can't breathe. Can't breathe. Can't breathe." He repeated, eyes widened behind his mask, hands clutching his chest. "I can feel it crawling in my skin. Tesseract, I can feel it crawling inside me. Yet I have no wounds. I have no wounds..." He shook his head, still staring at the ceiling. " Spirits... what have I done? What have I done?... "

Suddenly, Tatu's head spun around, and he cracked a tiny smile.    "They're here...""    Clearing his throat, the Nomad stretched his arms, and then raised his hands in the air. All at once, every Overlord would not only hear his voice, but also see a tiny image of his face floating besides them, talking.    "My Overlords-the time has come. Our plans will have to change. Coming to this world are a multiversal force with one mission: to stop all of you. They are not as powerful, that I can assure you of. However... they could still damage all of you."

"Which is why I declare that you will all attack the city of New York and establish that as the first place you'll take over. You'll show no mercy as you destroy every symbol of power mankind has erected, and you will make your intentions clear to the leaders of the United States and of every country in the Earth: that this planet is rightfully yours. This... blunt approach will be used for a reason. This enemy force? They are your typical heroes. Once they see the destruction and the death of innocents, they'll come running out of the woodworks. And that's when you'll strike. You will kill them... all of them."

"Once their bodies litter the ground, unmistakeable from the humans you have stepped upon, then nothing will stand between all of you and total world domination. Of course, all I'm giving you, my Overlords, is the objective: attack New York. Some of you have gone through great lengths to blend amongst the other humans, and do not worry. You can approach this objective however you want it."'    At this, Tatu gave them a sly smile.    "But this will be a battle I wouldn't want to miss for the world. I am eager to see your results, my Overlords. Good luck."''

Washington DC

"Can we at least get out of here, Mr. Angel?" Karata asked, looking at the ceiling of the drain along with him. "I've always wanted to see the world outside..."

SIFURI

Up in the skies, on a SHIELD Helicarrier, Nick Fury watched the recording being broadcast through all of New York. He wrinkled his nose a little as Zeal flaunted her body over and over. "And you're sure this is having no effect on the people of New York?" He said, glancing at the oddly dressed woman standing besides him, watching the recording too.

Lady Sif scoffed, before shaking her head. "Not exactly, Fury. This impostor has Amora's powers, and they have been exacerbated by some ungodly force. Some of your men-folk, and even some of your women-folk have been affected, but it's a very low parcel, if my calculations are correct."

"We are getting some reports of commotion on the streets, sir." A SHIELD agent overseeing New York spoke up from her station. "The police has been dispatched, but it's nothing too big."

"It seems as if your technology has slightly disrupted Amora's powers." Lady Sif continued. "Tell your broadcasters to not spread these images. If more people show it, then the number of affected mortals will grow exceedingly."

"As it turns out, we're going after the people responsible for sending the image out in the first place." Fury said, nodding. "Thanks for the help, Lady Sif."

"Aye. 'Tis all I could do for now." Lady Sif crossed her arms. "The All-Father has chosen to stay out of this conflict, if these people can so easily kill Asgardians. Me and Thor are trying to convince him to change his mind, but—"

"If you can, please tell Thor to come to us." Fury said, shaking his head. "He's going to be much more of a help down in the field. In fact, agents, start sending out messages for all of our contacts. I want everyone, from Richards to Rogers to Raymond down on the field right now, before the attack starts. Because it's coming, gentlemen... and we need to be ready. Remember, this is what SHIELD was built for. And we'll not shirk away from our duty."

"SIR!" Coulson yelled, rushing down the corridor, phone in his hand. "Fury, sir, it's... it's... I don't know what's going on." He took a deep breath. "All of our contacts have disappeared."

"... what?" Fury repeated. "What did you just say?"

"Everyone. They're all gone. The Justice League, the Avengers, the Defenders, the Outsiders, they have all disappeared, I... I don't know how!" Coulson frowned, as Fury held back his jaw from falling on the floor. "Sir, we're... we're all alone. There's no one to help us. Not anymore."

Down in the helicarrier's lower levels, the SHIELD agents had recently cleared the hangar, apart from a few vehicles, since they were going to use that space for training. Maria Hill watched as uniform-wearing soldiers ran from side to side, going through the motions, eyes narrowing as she scanned the troops for anyone out of line, out of sync. If they failed now, they would fail on the field. She had to turn those failures into successes.

Just then, a sudden spark sent a couple of soldiers falling to the ground. Out of nowhere, a portal appeared on the middle of the hangar- at least, it fit with what Maria knew of portals- swirling and sending anything small or lightweight flying away, into the darkness of the hangar's ceiling way up above. Soldiers rushed to the sides, looking for corner as they anxiously gripped their pistols, some of them whispering to themselves in order to stop their trembling bodies...

And then, the first Seeker stepped out of the portal, face to face with a bunch of weapons pointed at him. Loki looked from side to side, raising an eyebrow, before his eyes settled on Maria Hill, standing right in the middle of her troops. "Oh no. Not this place." He muttered, rubbing his forehead.

"Loki. The heck are you doing here?!" Hill yelled, pointing at the portal behind him. "What are you going to do?! Tell me right now or I'll—"

"Tell your troops to shoot? Trust me, Hill, you do not want to know that." Loki said, raising his hands in a 'don't shoot' motion, letting his staff float in the air. "In fact, you should tell your troops to lower your weapons. You see, Hill... I'm here to help. Not just me, but the people who are going to walk out of that portal too. In fact... I think we might be your only hope."

As the troops slowly lowered their weapons, watching the portal in awe, Hill kept her fingers firmly wrapped around her handgun, ready to pull it up at a moment's notice.

Chase Young - Somewhat Familiar

Funny-looking goggles. Robot enthusiast. Most likely physically weak, and definitely out of shape. If not for the longer nose and the lack of jumping and screaming like an overly excited girl, Chase might have considered the possibility of that man being an old, fat, bald Jack Spicer.

Still, the man had managed to take down his villain, and that was already an improvement.

"Chase Young," the warrior stated, fairly unimpressed. "By the looks of it, you are already better at your job than the pathetic excuse for an evil boy genius I see myself dealing with on a regular basis."

The sudden command to attack on New York was... somewhat unexpected. Although Tatu made a good point, it was still quite a bold move.

But it was an order, and he had to follow through.

"As you wish," Chase stated, headed to pick up one of the Master's new communicators. "Insects are meant to be crushed anyway."

Chase Young - Now Exiting: China

"Nothing?" Chase asked, but then limited himself to nodding. "Good. Then let us go. I need to visit a certain someone before we set up camp."

With that said, he merely patted the Flash in the head, and both disappeared in a flash of lightning. Hopefully Lex Luthor would still be in his office. After all, it'd be a shame if no one told him that his nukes suddenly went missing.
