Changing topic.
I now remember why that New Vegas FOE mod I linked seemed familiar to me. Handle, weren't you writing something similar to that?

#IceBearForPresidentTo what?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Weren't you kicking around ideas for a story about a stable doing simulations or somesuch? Was gonna use comparisons to the Allegory of the Cave as theme?
...or I think someone did something like that.

#IceBearForPresidentNow, to be fair, we've had nothing to talk about in this topic for months.

So go to another thread to talk about something else? What's the point of talking about the moral implications of superheroes and their powers in this thread?
You could go to OTC and make a thread for that discussion: "Does power always imply responsibility?" or something like that. (Superheroes are an interesting case study but obviously it's a broader moral question that I expect would be discussed on quite abstract terms even if the conversation arises from a specific example.)
Of course you can make that thread in Yack Fest if you like, but if I were you I'd go to OTC simply because staying on-topic would help that sort of thread work.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur. So, again, examples?
I already pointed out exactly why him doing that would lead directly to him having to impose his will on others. You just ignore it and claim, but but, people are dying.
Crime? So, what should he do? You can't stop someone for a crime they haven't committed, just because they 'might'. And, wasn't the whole "Stop crime before it happens" the idea that led to the idiotic "Cry for justice" mini series? Where they still didn't explain how... barring him taking over and making sure things run exactly as he wants.
War? Again, how do you stop that without imposing your will on at least one side? And then what if the other side wants to exact some overly harsh punishment on the now 'losers'? Should he let them?
Accident? So... I know a lot of cracks are made about how OP Superman is, but he's neither omnipotent, or omniscient. If he notices one, he will do everything he can to help.
Again, you have yet to explain, in any way, how this thing you want him to do is actually plausible without going to those extremes, simply insulting me that I can't see how perfectly obvious it is.
So have any actual facts, or.. anything beyond insults to make your case? Or simply an impotent assertion based on nothing but wish ful thinking and delusion that can't be backed by even the most sketchy or illogical of reasoning?
Oh and as to "Sitting back at the Daily Planet" the entire reason Clark took a job there, was because back when Supes was created, working at a place like that was the best way to learn about things as quickly as possible. And it's since simply become iconic of the character. Also, you seem to be missing one of the most basic facts about who Superman is, that a lot tend to.. especially in movies.
Clark Kent is not Superman's secret identity. Superman is Clark public identity. He is Clark, that is the true Superman, the suit, the name, they are simply something he puts on for the public, again, being an icon they can look up to and through example, try to encourage people to be better.
Sorry, took me awhile to type this up. Though as unknown pointed out, not like anything else is going on in here, and the whole morals argument does tie in pretty well to a fairly common divergence point over FOE and it's characters.

At least this time the derailment isn't my fault.
I don't think it is, anyway.
Yes. It's in the backburner. Problem is, the more I think about it, the more I'm beginning to think that an actual postspocalyptia would be nothing like Fallout or FOE. Like, what happens if you emerge from a Vault into something like Real Life Somalia or South Africa? What about the rest of the world? How does the economy work? Why can the protagonists reach the same superhuman levels of power in a month as people who've been wastelanders all their lives?
It would end up like a retro sci-fi Wolf And Spice or Maoyuu Maou Yuusha.
I just feel like it would be an immense amount of pointless work. It wouldn't even be particularly fun, maybe.
I just don't know if it's worth my time.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. All right, I've decided to read onwards.
Is it just me, or is Watcher shaping up to be Atlas to Littlepip's Jack?
I completely forgot, so can somebody please remind me: -how does sunrise/moonrise work? -how are cannibals possible, when horses'd not gain sustenance from meat? (I recall Pip shooting cannibals being a major event, but I don't remember if it glossed over this, or makes it religious/for fun/etc. - which'd rather ruin the moral complications of rl cannibalism...)
1. Pretty much like they do IRL. The Sun and Moon move on their own, but no longer in aset rhythm. Both of them can be in the sky at the same time, even eclipses. Long term, who know? Could be a system winding down.
2. Horses can digest meat just fine, simply not as efficiently as plants, or as actual carnivores can. It's not that healthy for them to live on nothing but meat, but it's not totally useless to them.

Horses do gain sustenance from meat, and will eat carrion given the opportunity. Certainly they will eat their babies' discarded placentas.
This reminds me of that SMBC comic where a man implanted a device on his grandmother's cat that made it "talk". It slowly and progressively revealed more and more uncomfortable facts about dogs, like "if fall unconscious and I believe you're dead, chances are I'll end up eating you, starting with your thin-skinned face" until she abandoned it and switched to cats. Then it started the process all over again.
"We have barbed penises."
Animals. The less you know about them, the cuter they are.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Third episode of the radio play airs tonight.
#IceBearForPresidentI had a reminder set and everything so that I could listen live, but life got in the way and know I won't make it.
Darn it, life.
Dang me either... Sunday nights are ponyfinder night
Oh hey, they already put it on YouTube. That was fast. I'll listen to it later tonight.
Also, Project Horizons updated. Good timing, Somber. It's FO:E day today!
So how you feel about canon Griffons?
Surprisingly show actually showed canon what is really compatible with FOE (unlike most time when it's opposite).
No, the show tends to stick oddly close to making FOE plausible, and this is just yet another instance of it.
I once made a list of every time FO:E predicted something in the show. Moat of them are stretches, but it was fun putting it together. I guess we can now add griffons to the list.
You missed how well it works in the "Apple family barn being repeatedly destroyed" bit. before that become a thing. Having it torn down yet aging in the backstory to build Stable 2, and then rebuilt be Stable tec, so it was finally able to last through an apocalypse. until being destroyed by a Star Beast.
Princess Cadance's backstory gives Twi a perfect reason to know alicornifying ponies is possible.
The scones?

Seraphem and Handle, while your argument is interesting it's taking over the entire thread. You should take it to PMs or just drop it.
