I have to admire, for sheer persistence if nothing else, the amount of effort it takes to kill Liquid Snake in Metal Gear Solid.
And although he's not technically dead, Wheatley in Portal 2 has a spectacularly awesome defeat.

The Dual Boss from Dark Souls, Executioner Smough and Dragonslayer Ornstein (Names to Run Away from Really Fast much?) don't have much in the way of camaraderie: If you kill one, the other goes all Devour the Dragon and sucks away the fallen partner's powers. Ornstein just puts his hand over Smough and doubles in size when Smough is the first to fall... But when Ornstein's healthbar is depleted first he gives a melancholic look at the sky, keels over and then gets crushed from offscreen by Smough who then starts shooting lightning. He gets flattened completely: Like something out of looney tunes.
It's pretty disconcerting to see the first time. True Companions they ain't. But me and my fellow undead showed them how real gamers fight: Side By Side and Back To Back.
