Bartholemew by the Silent Comedy shall always be associated with a incredibly difficult game.
"Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" by Cage The Elephant is always associated with Borderlands to me.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelFunny how that's the first place I heard it and I never associate the song with Borderlands. I actually associate it more with Fallout 3 since I listened the the entire album over and over again while playing that (it probably helps that the music video takes place in a junk yard).
Orange Crush is associated with Chrono Trigger for me because I did my entire first playthrough of that game while listening to that song on loop.
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well. The Beatles' "Getting Better" will now forever be linked to an all-night paper-writing session I did...in which I wrote a paper overanalyzing the hell out of that song.
In other news, Eminem's "Lose Yourself" is linked with a religious retreat that I went on early this year. (Long story.)
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I'll forever associate the song Deadly Sinners with Saints Row 2.
Incredibly weird one, but Slayer's Reign In Blood and Katamari Damacy. I was addicted to the game but decided I needed a break from all the earworms, so I started to experiment with Soundtrack Dissonance and only played it with the music turned down (but not the sound effects) and heavy metal playing on the stereo. It's pretty hilarious to hear the screams of people as you roll them up in a katamari to the backdrop of "Angel Of Death".
As far as things that actually were in the game to begin with, there's a whole slew of songs I still associate primarily with Tony Hawk games - particularly 'Ace Of Spades' and 'Blitzkrieg Bop'. And while lots of songs vaguely make me think of Guitar Hero, the one that has the biggest association is Social Distortion's "Story Of My Life", because it was on one of the earliest levels of Guitar Hero 3, which my first game in the series, so I remember doing a lot of practice on that one.

Same for me with "Story of my Life", as well as Foghat's "Slow Ride". Though "Story of my Life" reminds me also of an old crush of mine (at least that one verse) back during my angsty phase.
Here's a weird one. Bruce Hornsby's "Mandolin Rain" is associated with my iPod. Specifically, the shuffle feature, since there was a time during which every time I put my iPod on shuffle it would come on within the first few songs, usually the first or second.

Seeing all these piss ant tropers trying to talk tough makes me laugh. If Matrix were here, he'd laugh too.
What are some songs that have the Grand Theft Auto Effect for you, and what do they bring to mind for you? I can think of a few for me, but one would be the Trans Siberian Orchestra's "Wizards in Winter", which I first heard in a Proton Jon Let's Play (this video specifically), and is now forever linked with bad Mario ROM hacks for me.
