Because clearly this is what this manga has been lacking till now: more girls and death. Nothing like death to round up your romantic comedy, eh?
Well, if there is a fourth girl then she'd be the promise girl. Raku would be contractually obligated to marry her if alive, but she'd get in the way of the Chitoge ending we're almost certain to get.
Man, wouldn't it be interesting if the fourth girl was still alive AND was the girl Raku promised, but he absolutely couldn't stand her and decided he won't let something he did as a child decide the rest of his life?
I would love that, but it's not nearly cliche enough. If you took the cliches out of Nisekoi the author would probably have a heart attack and die.
Chapter 118 is out.
Marika... That last page face... What has been seen...

Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Okay, I'll admit that I thought the last few pages were genuinely entertaining. Especially the faces on those two.
Hahahaha what the hell, this is so dumb.
I approve.
Yeah, excellent chapter. And not just because I smell plot.
By the way, for those who don't visit the main sites much, apparently the Animate, official Nisekoi, and MBS pages were hijacked by Marika for a few days now. The Nisekoi.jp page was particularly funny (aside from the insta-load Kana Asumi sound clip), as it replaced everyone's Character Profiles with... Marika's.
I presume things will revert to normal after tonight's airing though.
Yui might have some potential....
Oh who am I kidding? This is Nisekoi. I'll stick around till they destroy this opportunity as well.
Wait...What?The reactions are what make me really enjoy this series.
My Twitch.God, that Marika!Face. Amazing.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntAlternate resolution: Raku finds the fourth girl, who's the one he made the promise with, and she simply isn't interested or is already in a happy relationship.
I like Shuu's face more since he usually always has that stupid annoying smile.
This is the dumbest shit.
I kinda like it.
The smell of plot (TM) is nice. And the faces are indeed epic.
I give it around 50% chance that it wasn't Raku first kiss.
No one commenting on the episode yet? Aww.
Watched it as soon as the subs got out, and I have to say, Kana Asumi nails Marika... Except for the point where she blows up at Raku for forgetting the promise. The gradual shift to the rough, boyish, and frankly bumpkin-ish accent doesn't quite work well, as it just seems here that Asumin is just adding the volume. ^^;
On, and the new OP song, STEPS, shows up this episode as the ED instead. Lots and lots of sparkles this episode, for sure though.
Episode 14:
- Look at that SWAT team! So Marika's police. Man, keeping the mafia at bay was troublesome enough. Good luck, Raku...
- Ah, so that's why Marika hates girls with long hair...
- Turns out that Raku also remembered Marika. She just needed to drop the graceful act.
That bumped the ridiculous factor a few notches. And someone has trouble with character design considering she looks related to Onodera.
Marika had the best reaction.
The leader of a Hong Kong crime family, who's of mostly Japanese descent and was raised in a Yakuza household, now a homeroom teacher. Aside from the Onee-sama factor, it's a ridiculous confluence of cliches in an already cliche-ridden romcom.

Keep talking like that and you'll get the most moe execution scene this side of the pacific. She's clearly not to be messed with. She will cut you up, man.

Oh, and by the way, they seemed to have definitely settled on Marika having a native Kyushu dialect, which is kind of fitting, given how Kana Asumi is from Fukuoka.
Just to strengthen the impression, the commercial was aired ONLY in Kyushu.

Just read the latest chapter. And another girl has been added to the harem. Kind of weird how she got to be a teacher, though. She didn't seem more than two years older than Raku.
At least we got one hell of a Marika face there.
Hands raised for anyone surprised by this development.
No? Anyone? Well neither am I

It could be quite possible the fourth girl is the one who Raku remembers making the promise to, but died in the intervening years, doubling up on Marika's reluctance to talk about her.
