Zetman Anime

Confirmed to be apart of the Spring 2012 season.

Man, just look at it makes me want to shout out at how awesome it looks.

So we'll get to see Alphaz animated. I always thought the Tokusatsu style was more fitting for animation, even if the point is that it's live action.

Also, I'll finally get a good look at Cell Delete and how it converts from sword to gun and vice versa.

This is pretty Cool, but the Zetman manga is still ongoing isn't it?

They aren't afraid they'll catch up to it?

The Manga started back in the early 2000's. It should be fine.

Started reading the manga chapters.

I like the art style so far.

The main character is a freaking badass, even as a kid.

Interesting.

It looks like Jin and Kouga will get an additional Back-to-Back Badasses moment during Kouga's first fight as Alphasz.

Nice. I also get the feeling some moments in the manga will be toned down in the Anime as well.

Episode 1 of the Raw is out.

Just watched the sub.

A-lot was changed from how it went in the manga, but overall they covered the first twelve chapters in one episode.

On the one hand, it seems a little fast, but Zetman chapters range from 14 to about 30 pages, with the former being more frequent, so I guess it might make sense. Still felt kinda rushed.

Having young Kouga be friends with Jin as well is an interesting change, considering that they first met when they were in the fire. I'm not sure if it was really necessary.

That theme song was a little odd. It's just the first episode so it's hard to get a real feeling for it. Though considering some of the more.. improper elements of the manga, I think I won't mind the editing too much (I've been reading the Jiro arc...not cool man).

Still, I don't know if this is off to a good start, but I'm betting once we get to the real meat of the story, and the action, things will improve.

I loved the animation and Ed's voice so far, but yeah, Grampa teachings were a little rushed, even so I got the feeling that the more important things were transmited.

I don't know about the friends from childhood thing... I won't like it, probably, but you know, Zetman fights animated will rock if half of the pv and the animation in first chapter keep like this.

Even so, probably in chapter 2 will be lots of flashbacks to cover everything that isn't told already.

Well he did already know Konoha, and when you think about it, it's a weird coincidence that the brother and the sister both knew him without separately. They probably just thought this was simpler.

It's just that I got the feeling that it will make the story lose some important edge... in the matter of ZET and Alphasz's rivality that was almost the core point in the manga till later chapters, and know it will probably be like, I hate you because you didn't answer when I called xD

They will probably take away almost all of THAT mansion and I'll feel better with it. That arc was completely over the top even if necessary for character development.

So where do we go from here? As a manga-reader, I have to wonder if the production committee is dead-set on getting to the Amagi Tower arc as quickly as possible, as judging from the preview they're going to try to cram as many chapters into a single episode again, specifically chapters 13-25, which is pretty much everything leading to and including the fire.

Was good to see Akemi make it out of that episode alive. Hope she keeps up the habit. Seriously, there are way too many dead hookers in fiction.

In the manga, she was injured not by the Alphas but an angry man that often went to her place of work and eventually attacked her and stabbed her eye out for not wanting to be with him. Jin kicked his ass. The alpha that hurt akemi here actually was the reason the old man died in the manga.

Yeah, they had to shuffle around a bit since this is only a 13 episode anime adaptation.

ONLY THIRTEEN? shit... shit shit shit shit... It will be probably be epic if the animation continue like this, but seriously rushed. I was hoping it was at least 24 episodes or one season with half the contents of the manga 70-80 chapters in 14 anime chapters isn't that bad.

Changing the topic, why is Zetman so close to be Goku with his energy outburst?

EDIT:I think I misunderstood you but you are probably swaping Alphasz (white guy) with the players (monsters), correct me if I'm wrong.

Its been confirmed by the author that the anime will have an original, bad ending.

I was wondering where I heard the white guy's (Alphasz, is it?) voice before. Then I realized.

We it's not like the Manga is all sweetness and light, but that's kinda depressing.

Huh. They must like Irony...wait, so far we've only heard Kid Kouga's voice. Where did you hear older Kouga from.

No, the guy in all white who burnt the corpse.

Yeah, he's the leader of the alphaz.

The manga has a famous rape scene not unlike Berserk where said leader rapes Konoha.

And for the author to say this anime will end in an even more depressing way is unreal. The manga is depressing enough already.

... If that scene is retained in any way in the anime, the voice dissonance is going to send me reeling.
