Glad, but... what are the chances that it'll be shot down again like before, with Hudson's declaration of bankruptcy?
Not much to go on, especially since it's only just a tweet. Gotta wait until we hear it from a source like Gamespot or IGN.
Holy crap for real?
Bloody War was pretty tight back in the day...like PS 1 way back lol. I don't expect anything great out of this, but as long as it;s fun...I'll be satisfied.
Nostalgia... rising... oh my god, please be real and decent.
i. hear. a. sound.What Bur said.
ffff I'm hoping for this. The second Bloody War took up all my time on my PS 1.
DeerAs long as it completely disregards Bloody Roar 4 and gives the gameplay a desperately-needed new paint job, I'm sold. Please be real, darn it!
My soul awakens... WITH A PRIMAL SCREAM!
I wonder which characters are going to come back... Surely Uriko and Jenny will make the cut!
i. hear. a. sound.I can live with that. Mitsuko was always one of my favorites.
i. hear. a. sound.Wait, but if Hudson Soft's US division was closed down back in February and Konami acquired ownership of Hudson Soft's IPs, wouldn't it be Konami and 8ing developing the game?
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadWell I'm gonna miss Stun.
If it does well enough (I hope), I figure that the story will roughly follow the original games (seeing as guys like Kenji!Bakuryu, Shina, and especially Shenlong are popular, so there'd be no reason to exclude them), but will pull a 180 and get the hell away from anything regarding 4.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadI love the first game's soundtrack.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.While never playing a Bloody Roar game in my life....I feel my interest has been piqued for some reason.
2 and 3 had some nice tunes as well.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadHuh, a reboot. I guess that's good, I only played the first one.
"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt." - Some guy with a snazzy hat.Well maybe I'm alone in this, but I really don't mind the 4 cast to return. Just so long as they're used for a better plot than whatever 4 had them do....
They weren't bad characters, but they were used badly, shoehorned in without any notable character development to keep them viable. We could probably do without Ryoho (and by proxy, Mana), though. The whole plot shift from "X-Men with werebeasts" to "Gaia's Vengeance" was definitely not a good direction to take the series in.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadI haven't heard of Bloody Roar before, but it looks cool. I'm keeping my eye on this one.
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass. In that case, I'd like to hear how you rework Nagi, Reiji and Ryoho/Mana into the X Men with werebeasts. Also does Chronos and Ganesha also need rework as well?
Reiji... was off doing his own thing in 4 anyway, so I don't think he needs much tweaking, whereas Nagi was connected to the whole Unborn thing, which had already been brought up in 3, so ditto. As for Cronos and Ganesha, their kingdom was doing genetic manipulation (even experimenting on Cronos himself to try to draw out the power of his Phoenix form to use as a weapon at the behest of King Orion; there's also the theories and implications that Uriko and/or Uranus is the wife of King Orion, and they (she?) are (is?) supposed to be the ultimate Zoanthrope) not unlike Zylon, and Cronos was trying to help broker a treaty between his people (and by proxy, the remainder of the Zoanthropes) and normal humans. Likewise, I don't think they need to be heavily altered either. I just don't understand why 4 suddenly shifted away from the plot it had been building up for the past four games.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadAlso they definitely needs better VA. I wonder how you will recast the whole cast now, English and Japanese.
Get some sunglasses, because this is going to get blinding.
I'm serious. God, that color.
