I liked Never Land fine one of the Brownies managed to memorize it for campfire and sing it. Of course the fact an 8 year old was able to sing it before bed and have it be an appropriate choice was probably what he disliked about it. (Campfire is generally not for solos from pop music but that one worked).

I would be surprised if any song other than "7 Years" is on his #1 for worst.

I fucking ''hate' that song almost as much as he does. My managers love it.

I realize Todd has different criteria than I do, but how could he possibly find five worse songs than “Juju on That Beat”? At least the top 5 were made with a measure of competence (all right, maybe not the Chainsmokers song) and vaguely resembled music (all right, very vaguely in the case of the Chainsmokers song).

The stupidest thing I've ever heard about 7 Years: a Danish critic compared it to When I'm Sixty-Four by The Beatles.

First of all, When I'm Sixty-Four makes me smile whenever I hear it. 7 Years just makes me feel like screaming. Second of all, When I'm Sixty-Four is about a couple staying together when they're old and grayed. It's sappy, yeah, but it's the good kind of sappy. 7 Years...well Todd already talked about how damn egotistical it is, so I don't think I should repeat it. Third of all, The Beatles all have more talent in Ringo's goddamn pinkie finger than Lukas Graham ever will.

I know Todd said a few vids ago that "Break Up" was still the worst song he had ever reviewed- is that still true? I mean, I get some So Bad, It's Good enjoyment out of that, but stuff like "I Hate U I Love You" is just ugggghhhhhh

There is no beginning. There is no end. There is only... Hooty.

OK, so I was thinking of Todd doing a One-Hit Wonderland episode on Minnie Ripperton, and I ended up looking up this band she was in during the 1960's called Rotary Connection. Apparently one of their songs was sampled by the Fugees for their cover of Killing Me Softly With His Song.

So, has anyone seen any comments for...strange suggestions for OHW episodes?

Of course, I brought up an episode on "Rubber Duckie" by Ernie of Sesame Street fame. (Yes it was a hit in the early 70's.)

Disco Duck, perhaps? I'd like to see Todd cover novelty songs more. Maybe that Stars on 45 medley or A Fifth of Beethoven.

He pretty much did a bite sized OHW on Disco Duck in his worst songs of 1976 and I don't think he'd really have a drive to do a more expansive version of that.

Though, more novelty hits would be good. Would The Ketchup Song (Aserejé) by Las Ketchup be a possible candidate? It was a MONSTROUS hit everywhere else in the world though it only cracked 54 on the Billboards Hot 100 in the US.

(I think I even have the album that it was released on somewhere around here)

I would be interested in seeing "The Ketchup Song" covered.

He briefly mentioned "The Ketchup Song" in said bite-sized OHW of Disco Duck when talking about how smaller countries tend to have novelty hits all the time. It doesn't seem like he has much knowledge about it since he said "something called 'The Ketchup Song'"

Finally saw the worst of 2016 list.

  • Good for him for liking Peter Pan by Kelsea Ballerini. That's the only song of hers I like.

  • I heard most of these on my managers' phones during slow days. They all blended together.

  • I was a bit put off by the Tupac namedrop in "May We All", but I like that song otherwise.

  • I don't hate "One Call Away".

  • Have I mentioned that I hate "7 Years" too?

I inexplicable don't hate that song. I don't know why.

Yeah. I don't know why. I know it's a bad song, and all logic says otherwise, but I don't hate it for some reason

I'm guessing for Patreons only?

I'm really looking forward to his Top 10. Todd as of late has been coming off as really bitter and angry in his negative reviews so when he talks positive it's really a breath of fresh air
