That’s weird. Apart from “Can’t Feel My Face,” I think that Elle King’s song is the only (from his top 10, of course I have heard “Hello,” like, 10,000 times) one I have heard. I remember thinking “second-rate Adele clone.” So it ought to be good to hear it with new ears. And I’m intrigued by some of the other choices, especially by the idea of something by Taylor Swift being “good.” I have not been impressed by anything by her I have heard in the past, but the snippets of “Style” do make it sound like something I need to hear from beginning to end eventually.
I had heard of the Paul McCartney collab, but wrote it off as “Paul trying to stay relevant with The Young People™” and just assumed nothing ever came of it.
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!I'm going to pretend you didn't say that about Paul.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I've previously heard everything on the list except the song he used for in-between music for the Worst list. Not a fan.
IDFWU isn't a wonderful song lyrically, but the beat's fantastic for a DJ Mustard song and it's wonderfully fun to sing (or scream) along to, like Todd noted.
It’s just as well. It was meant to slight his collaborator(s).
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!I kinda want to see Paul do more collaborations with younger artists now. Dude still has genius inside of him that most people can only dream of having at his age.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I recall a year ago he collaborated with Martin O'Donnell for the soundtrack of Destiny.
Well damn, Sir Paul is working on video game soundtracks now.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Oh yeah, I'd been meaning to look up that song for a while, but I also could care less about Destiny.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. What's next, is Mc Cartney gonna win an Oscar?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Didn't "Let it Be" win an Oscar for best original song the year its movie came out? Technically, that means he HAS won an Oscar.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Oh yeah, that's right.
Maybe have him write the music for a play then? Get him a Tony while we're at it.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Shut Up and Dance is the only that I've heard in his 10.
I heard Style but only because he talked about liking it on his twitter also the "Something, something fire and run/we all need someone to lean on".
Heh, it's "blow a kiss, fire a gun, we need someone to lean on."
Am I the only one who'd heard all these songs? Not like I sought them out, either, they all had decent airplay where I live.
I heard them all except 2.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas Edison@Achiles That does make slightly more sense yes.
I actually did hear all of these songs at some point or another. Which is amusing to me considering I've kinda ignored pop music for the last year or so.
tbh, I don't get last year's pop songs. Even the good ones just have things that prevent me from really loving them. Uptown Funk aside. I honestly like the Weeknd's newest song more than basically any hit from 2015.
Speaking of songs from Todd’s best/worst list, I finally heard that “Worth It” song last night, and it’s every bit as awful as he says it is.
Incidentally, that was heard at the place me and my friends had dessert. What is it with dessert establishments and horrible pop music? I remember on another occasion, this ice cream place played that one Cher Lloyd song, the one with the ridiculous grunting, and I was unable to properly place my order until I was able to control my laughter.

Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!You don't have to specify because they're all that bad.
My best friend actually loved that song BECAUSE of that grunting. We kinda used to imitate it a lot as an in-joke for a long time.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here."So I sound like a helicoptah! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!"
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy. No, no, best ending is "hey...so...*awkward laugh* yaw love, yaw love, yaw love...is my drug I LIKE YOUR BEARD"

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I just rewatched that review and I'm fairly certain "Want U Back" is actually a cut song for a High School Musical villain.

Then again, I also remember from my time on my college radio station, that seems to be something the people monitoring the board are encouraged to do. Part of our duties on the station while DJing was to make sure the sound was always at a consistent level, which meant bringing up quiet portions of songs and turning it down if it looked like it was getting too high.
