Everything by Akira Kurosawa.
Oldboy.
Das Boot.
Downfall.
Anything by Takashi Miike.
The Lives of Others.
That's pretty much everything I can think of off the top of my head.
"Delenda est." "Furthermore, Carthage must be destroyed." -Common Roman saying at the end of speeches.Oh, Oldboy. I'm debating whether or not I should allow that on my list
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."The hallway sequence and dentists everywhere demand it!
"Delenda est." "Furthermore, Carthage must be destroyed." -Common Roman saying at the end of speeches. And so do the Southern Fried Rednecks.
Bonus points if you understand what I mean.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."The concept of "Foreign Film" doesn't really hold up on the internet, but yeah, non-american films. Favorites include:
Oldboy, Run Lola Run, Cinema Paradiso, My Sassy Girl, Dead Snow * , The Professional,Paprika, Perfect Blue, and a couple of others I've probably forgotten.
Liveblog | DeadblogThe Professional counts?
Pans Labyrinth by Guillermo Del Toro

Pan's Labyrinth and Persepolis and I know there are others I like but I forgot.
Seeing all these piss ant tropers trying to talk tough makes me laugh. If Matrix were here, he'd laugh too.I might be a bit biased as I'm Danish myself but Danish dark-humor films such as Blinkende Lygter and Adams Æbler.
I'm quite partial to German films and I think Daniel Brühl is quite a talent (and also hot )

I've watched many foreign films online but not too many on the big screen. I think Americans should be given the opportunity of watching more foreign material (not just movies but also tv series) as a way of understanding the values and cultures of other societies. It may allow us to better relate or socialize with those outside our country.
So, what are you favorite non-English language films?
Mine are: -Let The Right One In
-John Rabe
-L'Affaire Farewell
-Ip Man (I and II)
-Mongol
-Max Manus
