Awesome. Here's my character. Let me know if there's anything I need to remove from it or change.
Welcome! Misaki looks fine, i think, so now we need to figure out an 'in' for her. Given her origin, it might not be so hard; both the Jobsem estate and the Drolphy estate are in a pretty swanky area, and these families are both known for A) employing maids and B) going through a lot of them. What a perfect place to start looking for work... ("Employment Agency? What's that?")
H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SWas the other group with Rumiel written out of things?
It doesn't necessarily need to be - and some of the current maids of The Manor of Darkness and/or Spyhold might be looking for alternate employment by the time the night is done - but all of the player maids from that manor have gone MIA under mysterious circumstances that may involve cultists ^_^;. Did you have something in mind?
H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SOkay cool always fun to bring in a new person. Now to just figure out what I'm going to do here...
F:41 S:0/30x2
Not really. I kind of wanted her to be in that Manor but if most of the players from that one are gone I'm guessing that wouldn't work unless we hold off on introducing her until those current maids you mentioned possibly move over to that Manor. If that doesn't work then maybe we can introduce her to the Spyhold Manor after whatever is going down currently gets wrapped up.
Wrapped up... ^_^;;... Well, i'm sort of doubting that any of Rumiel's missing maids are going to show up again any time soon, and they've been gone for a bit by now, so she might decide to send yet another maid out to go looking for them (though this starts to sound like the definition of insanity...) I'd have to go refresh on what exactly Rumiel's motivations and such were, but we could probably do it that way. Or she could just be in the Manor of Darkness already; as president of the community association Rumiel might have sent maids to complain to His Supreme Darkness before, so theoretically be prisoners to be freed.
H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SWell let me know what you think is best. As I said before I would prefer Rumeil's manor but if there's nobody to interact with I'd like the Spy manor since I don't feel like Misaki would be an appropriate character for the Manor of Darkness.
There aren't terribly many maids in the game who are appropriate to the Manor of Darkness, and you probably wouldn't want to encounter any of them if they're still hanging around. If you wanted to get into the game quickly, the simplest setup would probably be that Misaki is one of Ruimiel's maids who she sent to chastise Mr. Drolphy in the the past and who didn't come back. Rumiel doesn't treat her maids particularly well, so she might've assumed that Misaki just quit. The invading Spyhold maids might find her in cell or something after they get past the chess room - or perhaps a random gorilla in a tuxedo broke her out. It's been known to happen. Really, it depends on how quickly you want to start interacting with the other players.
H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SHmm. I guess your idea of her being one of Rumeil's maids who when to the Manor of Darkness and never returned works. Maybe the invading maids could find her locked in an empty room or something depending on how long the invading maids have been in the manner?
I think i have an amusing idea of how Misaki might have spent the boring hours locked in that room...
H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SGo ahead and PM me your idea.
One thing to note: though a lot of time apparently went by after Karina made her skill check but before she actually made her move, the girls really shouldn't have the impression that the Black side is just going to wait patiently for Karina to make her move every time. The skill checks may get harder, and if too much talking goes on after them the Black side may just steal a march on her next time ^_^;;...
It is currently White's move, so the clock is ticking.

H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SSpeaking of the clock ticking, any idea when Misaki will make her debut? We shouldn’t keep a new player waiting if we don't have to.
TMINE:(T=F:17,S:0/10);(J=F:6,S:4/20)I second it, we shouldn't keep a new player waiting too much.
By the way, if this keeps up, Junko will be our new Mad Scientist master, synthesizing all the stuff we are addicted to. :P

Karina: F:18 S:0/20 Evelyn: F:11 S:6/40 "Evelyn is adorably crazy." — compliment by Vampiric OneMisaki will be able to properly enter the game as soon as this room is cleared, though she might be able to contribute before that point as well...
H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SSounds good. And yeah Junko's getting to be the local pharmacy, handy having a mad scientist around sometimes. Just as long as it's not something that can explode....

F:41 S:0/30[cough] Hello...
"You've got your transmission and your live wire, but your circuit's dead." - MediaHello again, stranger...
H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SI'm sorry again for my long absence. There was some personal/meatspace stuff that kinda screwed me around.
I'll make a post for Berenice - feel free to tell me to make corrections to it.

"You've got your transmission and your live wire, but your circuit's dead." - MediaAs far as Berenice can tell there is nobody watching the premises, but you can make a cunning roll if you want to make sure. Getting in through the garage would probably be the easiest way, as long as nobody has rustled the garden gnome that hides the spare key to the side door.
H:44F(8/30)S|G:19F(0/10)SSo I've been talked into looking into this game to see what might be going on. Would somebody care to give me a brief summary of what I might need to know?
And, I figure it'll be a James Bond-ish type romp. Not the kind of spy thriller I'm used tonote , but what the hell, it's a comedy. Color me...intrigued.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Hi Sabre
Well, basically you create maid (using this thing) and then you play the character. Here's my one.
I think someone made a butler but I'm not sure if they have a generator. To perform certain actions you have to make a role based on your character's abilities.
When a maid fails her role, she takes stress (including any damage to her uniform, I think). This stress builds up until she has a "stress explosion". When she does something to please her boss, she gets favour points and she can eventually cash those in for stuff.
The general goal is to have fun with the description since that will influence your skills and favour. You should play to the character's personality as set out in the generation but there is quite a bit of leeway there.
Does that cover it, alhazred?
"You've got your transmission and your live wire, but your circuit's dead." - MediaRandom generator it is, then. Lemme break out my copy of the rulebook just to be sure. I was less than pleased about my first result. (No, she's not going to be the Master's lover, I don't think we're using that ruleset.)
Okay, so, lessee. Two special qualities, disable relationship table, trauma on, weapons on.
And what about our particular setting might I want to know? Time, place, who the master is, who the co-workers are, et cetera.

I'm back! Sorry about that. Chariot: if you are still interested we can still take new players, I think. I'll have a game post up soon.
