From the Dropped A Bridget On Him description:
When it's the audience that's confused, see Viewer Gender Confusion.
(Emphasis mine.)
In other words, the difference between this trope and Viewer Gender Confusion is in-universe vs. out-of-universe, not "I thought it was the other kind" vs. "Don't know".

If you mean me, what made you think I was confused? I was referring to the Kuja picture.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. No, sorry, you ninja'd me. I meant Discar.
It's about the Gender Reveal being something In-Universe that affects the Plot. If it also surprises the audience, that is fine, it's just a dual trope.
My concern is that the In-Universe stuff never really comes up in Guilty Gear.
Get a slant at this glossary of Pulp Detective terms. It rates. Pipe that?I was almost tempted to suggest a reversed version of the Lame-Great Reaction Guys meme but then I remembered... that memes are not allowed.

The image shows two characters react to a gender reveal. Even if the characters are supposed to represent the audience that isn't visible in the image.
Of course it's visible. It's all in the text, but it's there.
So how about using an actual example of the trope instead of misuse that involves the trope namer?
Something along these lines. (this is probably too long but ya get the point.)

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!... Only one of those even remotely works, and only because the subtitles carries the entire thing.
Please. This trope is an in-universe reveal and character response and not just "She is a he" reveal.... All 4 are one story to tell. (as I said its a bit large)

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I thought that those were four suggestions.
Still, I want you to cover the subtitles with your hand and tell me what the story the pics tell.
Please. This can not be told without some text. And As I said its only an idea, The only other suggestion for this is a complete misuse of the trope. (which this can not be a 4th wall issue its not a reveal to the audience its a reveal to a character in the series with the specific reaction of shock or EWWW.)

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!"This can not be told without some text."
Please.
I hope you realize that if you actually find this, any time someone says that it can't be shown without text, I'm going to PM you with "A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES" and a link to the thread in question. Even if—no, especially if you're not involved in the thread.
(just kidding)
So.... After I slapped this together and made a crappy stick figure comic... I read the trope pages and it seems to be different to what I thought the trope was. Which seems to be some strange and verryyyy specific "thing" that can't be pictured imo.
Here is what I made though. Bluh.
Oh please do. That would make my life so much more complete.
Please.Heh...I kinda like that.
Do we have a separate trope for that "long haired person seen from behind, turns out to be a man" thing? If not, we should, as it turns up a lot.
In any case, it doesn't seem to quite be this trope, as this one usually involves knowing the person, then being surprised by their true sex, as opposed to just glimpsing someone in a crowd, etc.
Jet-a-Reeno!I like that much better than whoever the "bridget" person is in the webcomic shown earlier in this thread.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Hey, what about Space Balls?
"You fools! YOU CAPTURED THEIR STUNT DOUBLES!"
Would that be an example?
Not even close.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.That's not the trope. That's not even close to the trope.
Always hiding my keys in the bug bucket, you bastard dog.I have yet to see an option I prefer, that makes it more clear, than the edited "Bridget" webcomic.
Things of mine keep getting deleted. I curse too much. The problem with it is this is strictly an in-universe thing the comic is being told as an Out-of-universe thing which is not an example.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Bump-Bump-Bump, Bump-Bump, bUMP-bUMP-bUMP... "When the night/ is dark..."
Things of mine keep getting deleted. I curse too much.

Nominations for replacement images:
That just makes it an example of androgynous, not an example of making the viewers confused.
