What about creating instead of only focusing on preserving? I want my Shy Blue-Haired Girl. Not sure how we would go about it without massive advances in genetic engineering, though.

^ Hair dye is a wonderful thing.
That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something Awful@51
I had proposed captive breeding earlier.
If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?I'm must disappointed that redheads and white-hairs don't produce cotton-candy-pink haired offspring.
And I want my blue-haired babes too! Even though Gingers are my goddesses!
It's better to be right than liked. Really. I Just Want to Be LovedTo hear you people talk anybody would think brunettes and black-haired people (why isn't there an appropriate noun for that?) were hideous. It's rather discouraging
Be not afraid...Brunettes are my favourite; as much as I enjoy having blonde hair, "preserving" it can go hang if it means disqualifying brunettes as potential mates.
Swordsman Troper — Reclaiming The Blade — Watchblue hair is biologically impossible. it isn't going to happen. accept it.
hashtagsarestupidThere are rabbits with blue hair.
call me back when they can get blue in monkey

hashtagsarestupidThat's what they said about blue eyes.
If you don't like a single Frank Ocean song, you have no soul.@60
Mandrill have blue on their faces, blue vervet monkeys have blue scrotum and then there's the blue guenon.

If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?joey: (post 51) Yeah, that was the general plan. Well, not so much a "plan" as it was a series of vague concepts, if you will.
Loni: brunettes and black haired people aren't ugly. I just have a preference for redheads, but hell brown hair can be good.

Red hair is a recessive trait mark, your going to have to score round the clock.
hashtagsarestupidYou are missing the point entirely. Trying to get more red-headed people by having redhaired partners yourself is not going to work, unless you yourself carry the gene.
Basic mendelian genetics, people, we learnt this in ninth grade.
Be not afraid...Odds are that he does, it's depends on the roll of the genetic dice.
@mark: what's your bloodlines?

hashtagsarestupidDepends on the goal.
Fight smart, not fair.@ 63
It seems they achieve the blue colouration the same way birds do it. However, blue guenon hair does looks bluish, even though maybe its the camera.
If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?Blue is such a rare color in nature I thinks it's hoping for too much myself.
Pink we could pull off,
hashtagsarestupidMost intense pink are actually purplish pink, so unachievable without blue. Also, if nature is any indication, hair pigments doesn't work like paint. Dun gene which basically lightens the colour, occurs in horse and only produced dun coloured horses.
If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?@Loni Jay: That doesn't mean that the method is not awesome.
You exist because we allow it and you will end because we demand it.@OP: Red hair and green eyes must be protected at all costs.
I agree.
And by the way, who are you and what have you done with the real Kino?
Liberty! Equality! Fraternity!Oh I'm still here, just looking out for the future mother of my children.

@Mark Von Lewis: even hair color is important, how are you going to go about preserving genetic diversity? What do you plan do about it? Go around trying to get as many redheads pregnant as possible
