Preserving human genetic diversity

@Mark Von Lewis: even hair color is important, how are you going to go about preserving genetic diversity? What do you plan do about it? Go around trying to get as many redheads pregnant as possible

What about creating instead of only focusing on preserving? I want my Shy Blue-Haired Girl. Not sure how we would go about it without massive advances in genetic engineering, though.

I had proposed captive breeding earlier.

I'm must disappointed that redheads and white-hairs don't produce cotton-candy-pink haired offspring.

And I want my blue-haired babes too! Even though Gingers are my goddesses!

To hear you people talk anybody would think brunettes and black-haired people (why isn't there an appropriate noun for that?) were hideous. It's rather discouraging

Brunettes are my favourite; as much as I enjoy having blonde hair, "preserving" it can go hang if it means disqualifying brunettes as potential mates.

blue hair is biologically impossible. it isn't going to happen. accept it.

There are rabbits with blue hair.

Loni: brunettes and black haired people aren't ugly. I just have a preference for redheads, but hell brown hair can be good.

Red hair is a recessive trait mark, your going to have to score round the clock.

You are missing the point entirely. Trying to get more red-headed people by having redhaired partners yourself is not going to work, unless you yourself carry the gene.

Basic mendelian genetics, people, we learnt this in ninth grade.

Odds are that he does, it's depends on the roll of the genetic dice.

It seems they achieve the blue colouration the same way birds do it. However, blue guenon hair does looks bluish, even though maybe its the camera.

Blue is such a rare color in nature I thinks it's hoping for too much myself.

Pink we could pull off,

Most intense pink are actually purplish pink, so unachievable without blue. Also, if nature is any indication, hair pigments doesn't work like paint. Dun gene which basically lightens the colour, occurs in horse and only produced dun coloured horses.
