So yeah, Exactly What It Saysonthe Tin. The daughter of a powerful Israeli crime lord was recently raped by two guys who brought her to their house, drunk with her until she was basically out of it, then did the thing. On the list of stupid crimes you can commit, this is fairly close to robbing a gun store near the top. These guys are probably going to beg the judge to put them in prison now, simply because it will be far safer (and less painful for them) than staying on the street waiting for the family to take revenge.

Amusing (...well, except for the girl who got raped) news story. We may yet see poetic justice in action.

Will an Israeli news site with Hebrew articles help? This is the only place I saw this one.

Wow. Good luck staying alive, skeevy dudes.

This was definitely a worse idea than robbing a gun store. At least bullets can only do so much. Mafias get creative.

Hold on, we sure this wasn't a move by another crime family? Wherever they are, the mafia plays dirty.

I'm still dizzy at the prospect of an Isreali mob.

I'd be far far more surprised if there weren't several.

Would they even need to beg? Wouldn't a confession alone be enough to get them put in jail?

^ Well, if you want them punished, it would be far simpler to keep them out of jail... hehe.

As for the Israeli mob thing: yes, there are several. Some only have power within a city, but some actually have international power. Once in a while you turn on the news and here about a grenade thrown up someone's window, or an assassin shooting someone in Europe, or some such.

^^ Usually, if they are doing their job properly, you don't here about the Mossad. You only do when they screw up. Crime families, on the other hand, usually want to make a show of it when they off someone.

When they are busy performing clandestine assassination operations without the permission of first world countries...

Not a fan of the Mossad, I'd feel better if more of those attacks were the Israeli Mafia instead.

Again, if you heard about them, there's a good chance that they were Mafia. Mossad attacks are the ones you don't generally hear about.

Personally, I think they're doing the dirty job someone has too. Those arms dealers aren't going to assassinate themselves and those nuclear reactors aren't going to sabotage themselves. Yes, it's nasty, but quite often, it's also vital. Since we know so little of their operation, there's no way to say how much death has been prevented by their work, but I'd like to believe that much more than was caused.

No idea what to think about this, but...something tells me those two are more then just typical rapist dudes...unless they really didn't know she was an Israeli Mafia Princess...

I wish they'd done much more to hurt the mob than this. But I guess they probably didn't even know who she was.

[up]Surely there are more efficient and less morally-reprehensible ways to damage a Mafia branch than raping the boss's daughter? I don't think you can even begin to describe this as striking a blow against organised crime, even if they knew who she was.

What's precedent ever done for us?
