I think Kalimari Desert was a retro track in MK 7 as well. That may not preclude it since SNES Rainbow Road, Yoshi Circuit, and Baby Park were also all retro tracks in previous portable games, but it might mean it would come as DLC.

Wario Stadium would have made a lot of sense since we have bikes now.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Wario Stadium, Waluigi Stadium, and Wario Coliseum would all be fantastic. Dino Dino Jungle too, maybe?
Fun fact about Dino Dino Jungle: it was originally supposed to be Diddy Kong's "home" track. Possibly a reference to Dino Domain.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I haven't unlocked it quite yet, but I'm assuming the Yoshi Bike is still in MK 8 D along with all the other unlockable kart parts from the original. Ever since the first DLC came out, it's always been particularly amusing to me that it's possible in this game to play as Yoshi riding a motorcycle shaped like himself around a track that is also shaped like himself.
You know, I'm starting to think Nintendo didn't put in Diddy Kong in Mario Kart 8 was of either/both these reasons:
1) They wish to separate the Donkey Kong Country and Mario franchises more into their own things, with the exception of Donkey Kong himself because he's a staple since the beginning.
2) DLC.
I don't think there is a single track I outright dislike in this game.
Maybe a few battle arenas are less than preferable, but that's it.
And how can a track as simple as Excite Bike be so fun?
Or maybe there really is a Diddy Kong Racing sequel coming!
Personally, I'd like to see more Donkey Kong characters in Mario games. Maybe just the main four (Donkey, Diddy, Dixie, and King K. Rool), though; seeing Kritters in Super Mario Strikers was a bit weird.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I'd like to see Cranky more.
I'd like to see both DK and Wario have their supporting characters show up.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Excitebike is a great track.
Also, I've been doing the 200cc cups. I was doing pretty well. Then Rainbow Road happened. I think I spent more time off the course than on it. Holy moly.
As far as tracks go, I don't mind Grumble Volcano. It's tough, but not the cheap kind of tough where it has like one turn that's almost impossible to take at a reasonable speed. -coughbonedrydunescough-
Reaction Image RepositoryAnd that is bull because they put a DKCR-based track in 7 and 8.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Rainbow Road on 200cc is a major test to see if you remember that the reverse button also serves as a break button.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I remembered that, it just didn't help.

Basically, you put in your Kart combos for 8 Deluxe and it'll tell you if there's any builds out there that are objectively better than it. Don't sweat too much, though- most of them are a boost of +0.5 in one stat and +0.25 in a few others at most.
It's up to you whether the stat boosts matter more than looks or not. Remember- winning is temporary, but looking cool is forever!
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaSo it turns out that he build I've been using for a while in vanilla MK8 that I thought was really good is actually complete garbage. There are 30-50 different builds that are way better than mine. I'm talking, like, a total at least 10 points better than mine without sacrificing anything other than my character choice (sometimes) which I refuse to change.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Apparently there's no better build for Link other than the Master Cycle, Triforce Tires and Hylian Kite? Because it only gives me the other heavyweights amongst the statistically better builds.
And I ain't changing my character either. Go Link or go home
The thing is that, while this might not be true any longer since I haven't played the game is a while, I got so used to the exact way my build handled that I don't think changing to a statistically better build would result in better times. Maybe eventually, once I got really used to the new build, but I'm not sure how worth it it would be.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! The problem with that one is that I suck at using the sport bikes.
Reaction Image RepositoryDitto. I'd play Link nonstop (or Inkling Girl, if/when I get my grubby mitts on MK8D) if I didn't find his bike so hard to control.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?The sports bikes are the best to use in 200cc.
I play Rosalina who happens to have the exact same weight as Link.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I use Luigi, Toadette, Link, Bowser, Wario, Waluigi, King Boo, Villager, and Inkling Girl.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I play Rosalina or Link depending of who I'm feeling like playing at the moment, so them being equals is nice.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I play about everyone, depending on the mood.
Even Pink Gold Peach and the babies.
I say that every track evolved for the better in MK8.
The main thing I'm bummed about is that neither N64 Wario Stadium nor N64 Kalimari Desert made it in.
If that last one makes it in MK9 it better have a Callie and Marie show on the train!edited 12th May '17 3:35:44 PM by Elbruno
