Definition and examples don't match: Elves Versus Dwarves

Before you click on the article link and read the trope, can you tell me which one of these categories is the misuse?

That's right, it turns out this trope actually has nothing to do with either elves or dwarves. It has a list of qualities typically applied to Elves and Dwarves, but the trope is about any set of two factions that fits that Harmony Versus Discipline type of dichotomy, regardless of their race.*

Anyway, unsurprisingly, it's being used as plain ol' "Elves and dwarves hate each other" anyway, as we can see even on the PlayingWith page. So that's a problem.

By the sheer volume of examples about elves and dwarves just hating each other without all this background, though, I do think that just "Elves Vs. Dwarves" is tropable. I think a Trope Transplant would make a lot of sense here.

Elves vs. Dwarves would be a Sub-Trope of some kind of Fantasy Racial War or Fantasy Genocidal War, wouldn't it? The funny thing is, in most fantasy worlds that come to mind, elves don't actually fight or hate dwarves, and instead it's Elves Vs Orcs, or indeed Orcs Vs Everybody Else.

It isn't about elves and dwarves actually fighting each other so much as it's about the fact that they do not get along.

Looks like this one is destined to languish in obscurity. I support a Trope Transplant of the trope that's on the page. I think the trope about elves disliking dwarves can simply keep the name Elves Versus Dwarves.

Transplant definitely seems like the best option here.

Hell no. The article is just fine. In fact, is great to have and article that is actually about a trend, rather than just one specific kind of conflict.
