So this Mortal Kombat clone is supposedly releasing a demo tomorrow. Who here thinks it's fake, and who here thinks it would be awesome if it was real?

Even if it's not a hoax I kinda doubt they can deliver on what they've promised. Try not to be too disappointed tomorrow.

But the game they're promising does look pretty awesome! And the music rocks.

But don't worry, after the demo release we will post (step by step) every character's gameplay videos. And maybe even a second demo with more characters.

I watched the fatalities and was unimpressed completely. I thought it was going to be So Bad, It's Good but it was just...meh.

And its either have amazing graphics or its fake.

Well, the website has been updated today, and apparently the first demo will be out 10PM in italy, and a second demo is "coming soon".

Guess it wasn't so fake after all.

I have to admit, I sort of like the Excuse Plot. The idea of an entire world devoted to the construction of terrible weapons, lost to the rest of the galaxy and shrouded in legend, is kind of cool.

However, according to user comments on necrostorm's youtube channel, it is legit, but you have to remove your cookies first for some reason. Odd.

Slow, underwater feeling. Obscene load times. Small moveset. It does look pretty.

Game was supposed to ship before Christmas and they haven't released the first 'official' demo. The pre-alpha demo they did release was barely playable. They keep revealing characters and music and promising more features, but never show any more gameplay. They've blocked comments on their Youtube channel, they stopped posting news and updates on their messageboard, and they appear to be praising and hyping their own products with sockpuppet accounts.

Guys, they ain't never gonna finish this. They did all this filming and created all this music and meanwhile assumed that the whole 'programming' aspect would be the easy part.

So Death Cargo was finally released...woooooo boy.

Like I'm just finding out about this but SRK is EXPLODING and Kotaku is even getting their slimy mitts in this thing. Why you may ask? Because apparently the game ended up a massive scam and DOESN'T EVEN EXIST!!!!

Okay so first of all, there's no digital version of the game, DVD only, and it costs $35.00 + shipping with a 3-27 day delivery time. Eventually guys in SRK and Test Your Might started calling BS and decided to confront developers Necrostorm about it. Every guy who claims to have the game has yet to post any footage and it's really raising a stink. I have few details since I just found out like 20 minutes ago but it's been happening all week.

This is pretty hilarious and one of the best scandals in the FGC in a while.

Somehow, I'm not surprised. There's no chance in hell they could have lived up to their "hype."

I thought it was a massive joke the moment I heard about it.

Maybe because of the absolutely hilariously bad viral marketing on /v/.

To be fair, there WAS a playable demo with one character in it.

I'm just wondering why they'd even put in that level of effort if they weren't actually going to, you know, release a product. I mean, even something like War Z, you know, exists.
