Eh. It's okay, but for all we know Barret could be such a good guy that he managed to tame Satan. Also, it's Barrett. You know, the legitimately good guy?

It looks...acceptable. If we can find something better, that'd be good.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyMaybe Junior from Problem Child? But I think of him more like a comedic version of Villain Protagonist.

Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackNot even a tiny bit.
No one has to. I'm not familiar with it to start with.
Just for convenience, a repost:

Could we get a more canon example, perhaps?
Yes, that's pretty misleading as Barret is a good guy in Final Fantasy VII: The Sevening.
Fight smart, not fair.Someone placed this image on the page. I don't know if it's been decided that this will be the page image, though.

I've seen that before. While I find the image hilarious, I'm not sure it fits.
Fight smart, not fair.It doesn't really fit.
Permission to delete image?
Yeah, delete it
Go for it.
Okay, it's gone.
While inappropriate, I really liked that image. *saves it*
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.None of these pics really show that character we see is supposed to be a hero, they just show someone being violent... Okay, in the one with Mr. T he mentions "good guys", but like someone said, that pic is lacking the jerkass aspect of Designated Hero. Fooling Satan isn't really a sign of being unheroic. To me that pic looks more like that Mr. T is such a Bad Ass he can make even Satan obey him.

Well, I nominate Captain Hammer, if someone can find a good picture of him being a dick. Granted, it's mostly because Nathan Fillon is awesome, but that's just the icing on the cake.
I nominate The Comedian from Watchmen. He lives for this trope.
As long as Captain Hammer or The Comedian can be shown to be evil yet good somehow then roll with that. It's kinda hard to pick someone who'd fit but for whom there's not many images which can show it.
Clock is set.
Comedian is not a Designated Hero, he's quite clearly an Anti-Hero. From the description of the former: "it is plain that the audience is expected to like and root for the Designated Hero.. ..[t]hey're generally given a pass by the writers, freeing them from the consequences of their acts". None of that applies to the Comedian, he's depicted as an amoral SOB right from the start, and the story never expects the reader to root for him. And he most certainly isn't given a free pass from his actions.
