I think we could really use a trope for actual common sense. We have a lot of people using it like it's the trope they expect and it's not that uncommon a character trait in fiction. A lot of those are character pages.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI like the idea of a Trope Transplant - redefine Common Sense to mean "common sense" and then move this one to something like Simple Wisdom. (That's an overly broad name, though, so it's not very good.)
^ Would Simpleminded Wisdom work better?
In favor of a trope transplant.
Now Bloggier than ever before!Simpleminded Wisdom is nice. I'm in favor of a transplant.

Infinite Tree: an experimental storyA transplant would work well.
How do we want to define Common Sense?
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickThere is now a page action crowner here which includes the trope transplant option that Jack Alsworth mentioned.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickBumping for more votes. I see a new option was added. The characters generally used for this aren't stupid. They're more average.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickThere is now a page for Simpleminded Wisdom. I moved the wicks from Common Sense that were actually about the trope as described and left the ones that were just about general common sense. I figure that those can stay until the trope transplant is finished.
In any event, I would appreciate it if someone would check the remaining wicks in case I misinterpreted them. I think it was kind of tough to differentiate between Common Sense and Simpleminded Wisdom for some of them, especially the examples for works I did not know.
I am unsure about making a note in the Renamed Tropes page. I imagine it would make more sense to do that once the trope transplant is complete.

Crown Description:
Common Sense would tell you, that this trope would be Exactly What It Says on the Tin, but it's not. Instead it's about a "simple" character saying something intelligent.
Wik check:
17 wiks checked. 3 X Just X. 14 Incorrect. 100% misuse.
Yeah...
